They surprised me with a birthday card signed by the team, which was such a thoughtful touch, and made sure we were completely taken care of all evening, including having a high chair ready for my goddaughter, which I really appreciated.
Yes, I ordered the branzino (it’s one of my favorite fish dishes and they do it really well here). We ordered a full spread for the table, and everything was delicious. The food came out well-paced, beautifully done, and perfect for sharing, which is exactly what you want for a celebratory dinner with a group.
The view is exquisite. I’ve been here in the summer and the patio is truly epic, especially if you’ve got a boat. It’s one of those places that just hits different when the weather’s warm and the sun is setting over the water.
My only small disappointment was that they got rid of their Brussels sprouts appetizer (RIP), and the menu has definitely gotten smaller since the last time I was here. That said, the quality is still there, and the overall experience more than made up for it.
Bridgewater continues to be a go-to for special occasions, great service, and an unbeatable setting. I already can’t wait to be back for patio season.
The bread with whipped butter was light and flavorful, a great start to the meal. The scallops paired well with the polenta and broccolini, but the seasoning could have been a touch bolder. The grilled fish was fresh and tender, though it leaned a bit on the simple side compared to the price point.
Everything was prepared well, but a few dishes could have used that extra pop of flavor to really stand out. Still, it’s a lovely place for dinner, and I’d definitely return to enjoy the riverside views with another meal.
When we got it home, we opened up the containers and were both surprised by the very small portions. They basically piled the ingredients onto the lettuce, which just seems lazy. Please just toss my salad- if you want to leave the protein on the side, fine, but at least mix the rest. I’m all about quality over quantity, but for $22 each, these were pretty ridiculous. My significant other easily could have eaten both himself.
Besides the extremely limited toppings (the cucumber was hard to even spot), they missed the grana padano cheese altogether. There couldn’t have been more than 3-4 walnut pieces per salad. The worst part is that the chicken was so salty that we both ate a few bites and gave up, threw in a frozen pizza, and that was that.
Very disappointing and a lot of money wasted.
