Love this place! I do gotta say being from NYC which in my opinion has the best pizzas by far, but trying Paulie’s delicious Margerita pizza and garlic bread with the marinara sauce has me won!!! Despite being a bar, food is amazing and a great value! *During NFL football season, Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 1pm there is a Menudo & Pesole bar, 10$ for a single bowl or 14$ for unlimited. Menudo tasted amazing and the bowls are huge so just 1 is enough. Pizza cost is a little high, 21$ for a 12” pepperoni and sausage, but the taste beyond justifies it: Crust is crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside. Toppings and cheese all had great flavor. Service was great. It is a bar so the atmosphere can be a little loud and a few patrons might smell like cigarettes.

Me and a buddy were in the area for some racing and did some bar hopping on a Friday (11/10/2023.) A previous bartender during the day suggested this place. Cool setup, good drinks, friendly people. We felt like we lived there our whole life. I wasn’t really hungry but a gentleman at the bar offered me a slice of his pizza. It was good, I’d definitely return and try some of their food items. Highly recommend this place ☑️

The restroom tells a lot about the establishment. I wish they would have someone freshen up the restroom every hour or so. I walked in and it smelled foul like a public park restroom. The pizza used to better. The place itself is showing signs of wear and tear. Time they try to up their game and control their intimidating clientele if they want to stay in business. I wouldn’t recommend bringing the kids here.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza for pick up. Didn’t check it because previously I ordered one from here and it was delicious. When I got home and opened the pizza it was dominantly burnt. While I do enjoy a little toasty pizza this one was not it. I brought this home for dinner and my kids immediately starting commenting on how burnt it was and refusing to eat. I called Paulies to let them know and the girl answered “I checked it myself and it looked fine.” She offered to make the pizza again which is fine but I’m trying to stick to my schedule and get my kids to bed. I don’t have an extra 20-30 minutes to wait for another pizza to be cooked. I made the kids give it a try and I ate myself. I cut the roof of my mouth within a few bites. If your going to order a pizza from here make sure your prepared for rude customer service and make sure to ask for your pizza not burnt.

Unfortunately had a disappointing experience. When we walked in, we stood waiting for a few minutes but no one acknowledged us, so we eventually found a table and sat down ourselves. After sitting for about 10 minutes, we had to look around for menus before they were finally brought to us.
The restaurant didn’t appear very busy, yet the server seemed stressed and overwhelmed. When we left after our meal, we still thanked her, but she didn’t respond. I honestly almost regretted leaving the $15 cash tip on the table given the lack of service and acknowledgment.
Hopefully this was just an off night, but the overall experience made us feel ignored.

My husband and I had a very negative experience associated with this business. After visiting, my husband accidentally left his ATM card behind. He called right away to let them know, and the person who answered confirmed they had his card and said they would hold it for him. He ld them he would come by later that week to pick it up.
Shortly after that call, he noticed his ATM card was being used for fraudulent purchases. he Immediately reported the fraud to our bank. he then called the business back, asked to speak to a manager, and explained that his card had been left there and was now being used fraudulently. At that point, he was told they no longer had the card and that a manager would call him the next day. It has now been over three weeks, and he still hasn’t received a call or any follow-up.
This situation caused a huge amount of stress, time, and inconvenience. He reached out hoping for some level of concern or accountability, but the response was extremely disappointing.
Please be extremely cautious with your personal belongings if you choose to visit, and make sure to close your tab as you go and never leave your AtM or credit card. I wouldn’t trust their employees . Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place.

Came in the month of October and they had plenty of outdoor seating and a large tv outside as well. First time here and the pizza tasted and good and it looked. The three mushroom pizzas came out a little cold but brought them home and reheated them and they were great! Highly recommend for their regular pizzas. Definitely will come back and bring some friends. Also, just an FYI, there were a LOT of mosquitoes and I was bit at least 10 times in the short amount of time I was there. So take some OFF or mosquito repellant to stay comfortable.

I have been a customer of paulies pizza since I was in high school, and the location was on Euclid. Paulie is such an amazing person overall, and his staff definitely knows how to treat their customers. Downtown upland is the new location, and I make sure to have my dates every Monday with my spouse. We love it here! Thank you paulie, and staff!
