My husband and I came in for lunch on a weekend, and we were super impressed! We had them once before at a friend’s house as takeout and remember it being good, but this was even better than we remembered. The chicken was flavorful and fresh, with great sauces and delicious ways to enjoy it. Tacos, salad, and rice bowl were all delicious, but the nachos were definitely one of the show stoppers for us. I think I’ll be dreaming about it! Couldn’t have asked for a better meal, and the staff were friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. We will absolutely be back!

One of the best places for inspired chicken meals!
Large portions, fast preperation and very high quality. This isn’t a fast food chain, but the food comes out quickly and this isn’t premade off the Sysco truck. This is real food and the people are delightful!

Full transparency, at first glance the prices kind of caught my eye. Nothing crazy but more than a trip to Taco Bell. But then we opened our boxes and BOOM, worth it!! And then the first bites and we’ve been sold for life (Taco Bell who?)
The portions are beyond expectation so you get your moneys worth hands down.
Presentation is amazing. Flavor is incredible. There’s some sort of lemon pop to the sweet potato wedges that just works so well.
We will be back !!!

So where EPG executes well is in vibe and fittin with their space… rotisserie chicken w/a latin flair.
The whole chain is lively and inviting right when you walk and and you are met w/a large colorful menu that has an great mix of options to choose from. The servers are very friendly and are quick to give you a run down of their offerings.
Sooo many things sound great and we ended up grabbing a chicken dinner and a taco comb…
The mains here are pretty legit…the rotisserie chicken has a great flavor and the birds are a nice sice. They run a touch dry but you can choose from an array of side dips to add extra punch to your meal you cluckers (some sweet, some spicy, all pretty salty) . The tacos are fairly large w/ chunks of rotisserie chicken bustin thru there. One was better than the other but all n all pretty good (spicy was so so).
Where this place falls a lil shy is on the sides which arent bad but they aren’t really good either. They’re just kinda there, the rice was alright although salty and dry (maybe it was just really old) and the corn seemed a lil old too but just had the same chimichurri n pickled onions slapped on.
Overall the food was solid n probably would stop by again if in the area and hungry but it wasn’t anything I would go out of my way for.

El Pollo Guapo, absolutely great find. The food is seriously legit, great flavors, nice portion and fresh. El Pollo Guapo is the perfect fusion of down home cooking (Spanish style) rotisserie chicken and a sensible diners favorite food…. Tacos! They serve bowls and savory sides as well. Service was good, great area to walk before or after. Enjoy!

(moved to main street Newington) Ground Beef Taco and a Sweet Chilli Chicken Taco, I added the Sarachi Aoli sauce, Outstanding!!!! So I went back here yesterday after work, I was craving the awesome tacos I had here originally and after my terrible experience at the Glastonbury location, I needed my El Pollo Guapo fix, and again, a great experience. I got 2 sweet chilli chicken tacos and one ground beef w/ 2 sides of the Sriracha aoli sauce, to go. So yummy!! I spoke with the Manager Charlie, I believe that is his name, sorry if I got it wrong, and he was just a breath of fresh air, very concerned with the satisfaction of the customer, great job Charlie, thank you. Go here people, you will be glad you did!! Last pic is from to go sweet chili chicken I took to go, perfect!! I went back again to the New Newington location and got the “Dan that’s a Spicy Taco”, a Banh Mi Taco and a Ground beef taco. Look at how stuffed they are!! They’re the best. New pics attached.

Blink and you’ll miss this hidden gem on the Berlin Turnpike. Really friendly and fast service. Chicken Empanada is filled to the max with chicken. There are no empty air spaces inside. The Spicy Taco is bursting with flavor. Lots of chicken combined with grilled corn, pickled onions and a spicy slaw makes a perfect taco. The spice/heat level is just right. You can say it leaves your lips tingling for about 5 minutes. They also have a full selection of Hosmer Mountain sodas. This place is fantastic for authentic and fleshly prepared food!
