Came here with some friends. Service was pretty slow. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks, close to an hour for food. I ordered a bacon burger. The bacon tasted really bland and dry. Burger didn’t taste much better. At $44 I would expect things to taste way better. After all that waiting it basically killed the vibe for any of the games.

Nice place overall, but the no–outside food policy felt a bit rigid. Not everyone eats fast food, and the vegetarian options were limited.I let the host know I was observing a religious Daniel fast, which limits what I can eat, and that I had brought my own food. She politely explained that outside food isn’t allowed. The dining area was nearly empty, and my two adult kids were eating, so a little flexibility would have gone a long way.
We did spend money here, including on games, so it wasn’t like we weren’t supporting the business. In 2025, people have dietary preferences and restrictions, and being forced to sit in the car to eat instead of with your family isn’t reasonable.I hope they reconsider changing this policy.

Overshadowed by its illustrious game room, Dave & Buster’s (DB) offers a robust menu of American fare, filled with mostly caloric but savory dishes.
I was traveling on business in Detroit and DB was within walking distance. Truth be told I have my own DB card at home and visit frequently, though not typically to eat.
I did not want to eat anything caloric and I had checked out the menu ahead of time to see if I could find dishes that would keep my calorie count lean ahead of Thanksgiving. I found a few including a nicely grilled salmon, shown in my photos.
Pretzels are shown at 1400 cal, but that’s if you eat all of them — there were five — and ate all of the accompanying dips. So I pretended I was sharing and ate less. Delicious.
The bananas foster is served in DBs unique way, with crystallized sugar granules, a caramel sauce, and thin sliced bananas. The cake reminds me of an Italian cheesecake, which is made with ricotta. Also delicious.

It seems that Dave and Busters has limited game time now! they’ve most recently been more focused more on their food menu and drinks and have literally took The actual fun out of the experience. I went to Dave & Buster’s, and I was playing the games with my kids and noticed that the time limit that you have on the games have been significantly short versus how they were a couple of years ago. The prices are still the same (kind of decent) But in actuality the time limit that you have to play, the games has been shortened on a lot of the most popular games there. And let’s be honest they really don’t have a great game selection there. It’s pretty much the same games they’ve always had and if one of the machine machines aren’t broken you have to tap your car two or three times for it to actually go through so obviously some things need to be upgraded. The food was ok… flavorful, but the portion sizes were lacking… you can’t expect for someone to pay $15 for a cheeseburger and fries and the cheeseburger is super small with a handful of fries that’s ridiculousAnd not to mention, salads have gotten smaller as well with less meat in the salad and more of the other crap that they have added on to make it seem like it’s a full salad. Don’t get me wrong. They are very creative. The presentation was beautiful, but there was not enough meat on the salad . The waitress who served the table was very helpful and very nice. I think her name was Tiara or Tiana, any questions that my kids had she was able to answer them with great customer service. Overall experience was very mediocre. I definitely won’t be bringing my kids back anytime soon unless they changed something. I don’t personally care how anybody else feels this is my review on my experience here.

I recently visited the Dave & Buster’s in Livonia with my family and unfortunately the experience was very mixed. We purchased three of the $59.99 Eat and Play combos for the kids, and I do want to give credit where it’s due. We ended up losing one of the game cards and the manager was extremely accommodating in making sure the free meal was still honored. That level of understanding and customer care was truly appreciated.
However, the rest of the visit did not match that same standard. I went to the bar to grab a drink and watch the football game and sat there for quite a while without being greeted, even though the bartender clearly saw me. The bar itself wasn’t busy, yet the environment felt rushed and unwelcoming. When I was finally acknowledged and received my drink, the overall energy was tense and uncomfortable. The bartender I interacted with, Dana, came off very cold. Later, I spoke with a friend who had been there the day before and they mentioned having a similar negative customer service experience with her as well.
When we sat down to eat as a family, the attitude continued. Our waitress was noticeably hostile. She slammed my drink on the table and did the same with my cousin’s food. It made what should have been a fun family outing feel awkward and unpleasant. The food itself was just okay. I ordered the sampler with sliders, wings, and fries. I tried asking about the spicy Korean wing flavor and the waitress seemed completely uninterested, simply saying she only eats buffalo wings. There was no effort to be helpful or welcoming.
I had been told this location was better than the Utica one, but based on this visit, I wasn’t impressed. It’s disappointing, especially since I was hosting family from out of town and hoped for a fun, upbeat environment. The manager’s assistance was the highlight, but the overall staff attitude made the experience one I’m not excited to repeat.

This place is awesome! We ate before playing games but the food was just okay. My husband and I had the fried chicken sandwich and we didn’t care for the sauce they put on it. My son got a flatbread and there was way too much cheese. My daughter’s chicken tenders were good and so were the fries. Not great ranch (tasted like bottled hidden valley). The game area is huge with a large variety of games. You can get an eat and play package which is a really good deal. Overall we had a blast and will definitely be back.

Dave & Buster’s is always such a fun time! I love the new stuff they added, especially the human claw machine — it’s such a cool and unique experience. The arcade has so many fun games and the energy is always great.
And the food?? So good. It’s literally the only place I can actually enjoy fish and chips from. Everything is always fresh and flavorful. Definitely one of my favorite spots!
