Originally went for breakfast but got intrigued by the protein bowls. We both got beef with a good variety of banchan between two people. They were delicious and the portions were pretty filling! They were generous with the banchan and their kimchi choices were particularly yummy! Coffee was also super good! Esp the Hazelnut Latte~ Overall vibes were super cute and cozy, staff were very friendly and an added bonus is that it’s a quick 2 min walk away from the SF Bay Trail! Will def go back again~

Really great cafe with delicious Korean food. The kimchee was delicious and each dish we ordered was loved by our group of 4. The protein bowl (both chicken and beef) were LOVED. I had the kimchee soup meal and it was amazing. Staff were kind and the prices were reasonable.
By the way, at this point all of the negative reviews are from 2+ years ago and the concerns they note (few options and small portions) were not at all what we experienced. A good sized menu for a small cafe and the portions were perfect – and we were hungry. I think they adapted to the feedback. The average stars here should be much closer to 5. If there were any hesitations at all the matcha and boba were not favorites (not bad, but not at the level of the food)
We will definitely be back!

Small cafe with excellent food and outdoor seating. There is a wave bike rack outside along the road side of the cafe. Pay up front, food is brought to your table (if eating there), and self-bus plates. We will be coming back, even though we live quite far away.

The food was so good that I had to visit here 2 days in a row!
Monica, the owner, was helpful and patient as we asked about the various menu options available. We had kimchi soup with banchan & a protein rice bowl with spicy pork, and both were excellent.
The beverage options were great as well, including everything from Aloe Vera juice and Korean soft drinks to classics like coffee & boba tea.

Cute mom and pop Korean cafe. Feels like a very casual Korean mom meal. Nothing fancy, but definitely prepared with love. Prices very reasonable and all house-made. Good banchan and good texture on the multigrain rice. Healthy and legit. Very happy to see the owner is actually a Korean and not a Caucasian person making mid-fake Asian fast casual food lol. Will def come back and keep supporting this business!

A lovely lunch stop; I was able to share a meal for a reasonable price. The owner greeted me and took my order showing a level of care and professionalism that I very much appreciated. The entire place was super clean and the unique metal utensils and chopsticks were very enjoyable to use. Outdoor seating was a bonus to enjoy on a nice day. The food was delicious and I ate everything I ordered. I loved the care for all the small parts added to the Bi Bam Bap; also really enjoyed the potato leek soup, kimchee, spinach, and unique Korean drinks. I’m looking forward to coming back to and seeing how it continues to grow.

I was excited to hear there was a new Korean cafe in San Rafael. I had a chance to go there twice so far. The cafe looked very nice and inviting with indoor and outdoor seating. I like that their menu doesn’t have too many things but everything looks interesting and I just want to try every single one. I had tried their breakfast burrito with kimchi inside and spicy pork Bahn mi sandwich. They both were yummy and the ingredients were fresh. My boys liked their Bi Bim Bap and Kim Bap roll. The protein rice bowl with spicy pork was yummy, too (I loved the kimchi and pickled radish on the side). They also have pastries, the owner said they were from the bakery in Berkeley. I tried their almond croissant and it was good, except the almond paste was a bit too sweet for my taste. The coffee from Equator was very nice, too. The owner is very friendly.

A gem found off the highway.
Treats as well as full meals to enjoy. Quality menu with fair prices.
Shared restrooms for the plaza available outside.
Parking lot is to the side, also shared with the business plaza.
Can enjoy a nice walk toward the trail on the other end of the parking lot.
Will return to try more dishes.

I finally found an authentic Korean cafe that makes fresh food! The staff are nice and inviting! They definitely want you to have the best experience possible. Their Bahn Mi’s aren’t the best, but everything else definitely is!

San Korean Cafe is a delicious spot for Korean food, especially for lunch. The food is super tasty and decently priced as well. It is located in a nice spot close to the water, so you can take your food to go and eat at a bench or table on the watwr.
