I thought the food was pretty good but the best part of what I ate was the serving size! I would’ve had at least two more meals of my chicken pad thai, but I dropped it in the parking lot, lol. 🙁 I really liked my crab rangoon I ordered! I also was given a free cup of soup! It was all relatively good and I enjoyed it, but the portion size (for the $10 LUNCH PORTION) really took the spotlight!

The service was great! They were so friendly and extremely fast and efficient. I was in and out in 45 minutes! I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend. The ambience of the restaurant was simple with some typical decorating, like wall art and a fish tank. Nothing too special or memorable but still clean and nice!!

Planet Thai is tucked into one of those strip malls that seem designed for great ethnic food, and it lives up to that setting. We ordered takeout, and the service side of things was smooth and efficient. The staff had our food ready right at the time we requested, which made pickup quick and easy.

As for the food, everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, but the spice levels didn’t match what we ordered. We asked for Thai Hot (a level 5) across the board. What we got was inconsistent: the drunken noodles landed closer to a 2, the curry rice about a 3, and the Thai fried rice maybe a 3.5—but only because we added extra jalapeños. For those who love real heat, you’ll want to be clear and firm about your expectations when ordering.

The appetizers were a high point. The crab rangoon was excellent, crisp and creamy, easily one of the better versions we’ve had in Lexington. The fried wontons paired with plum sauce were also solid, though the sauce consistency made it hard to tell if it was house-made. Either way, it tasted fresh and original.

Overall, Planet Thai is a solid choice for good, flavorful Thai food in Lexington. Just know you may need to insist on the spice level if you want it truly hot.

Service is nice. Entrees are good portions. However, I don’t know if I got a weird batch of crab rangoon but it just tasted like egg rolls. I opened it and there were a bunch of clearish chunks that’s not typically in the dish. Seems like they wrapped egg roll filling instead.

I’m so bougie for Thai food. I’m such a critic but Planet Thai is legit. I’ve been to Bangkok, so I know Thai. This restaurant has a great menu, lots of options. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and in good condition. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were amazing. If you’re in Lexington or near Nicholasville… you should make a bee line here, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Had a good time here for a late lunch the Thai tea was so good and I believe you get free refills. I was full but they did ask not 100% sure about this plan to ask next time. If so it’s definitely worth it since the tea is $4 which the flavor is great so it was worth it to me just for the one. The crab Rangoon was some of the best I’ve ever had ! I couldn’t believe it was imitation crab and not real the taste was so fresh ! The drunken noodle I got chicken it was just ok to me the spice level was great ! And overall I would recommend to others

This is my favorite restaurant in Lexington! The food is absolute delicious! Their menu is so versatile that they have food options for vegans, vegetarians and people that have a regular diet. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the food. Definitely recommend!

“Fear the fro “

That came from the Chardon Hilltoppers to high school championship in a row high school football Ohio team.

I translate this to making connections with people when I said do you know the difference between an
FRO
HALF FRO
And a AFRO lol serious
My opinionated answer came from years of creating dialogue, listening to how we all get along conversations with people like this one. It was so amazing to hear his answer after four visits to our table or so. He gave his opinion I loved his answer. It was just like. My opinion.
A personality and a smile is the most important sound in any language obviously Austin has it immediately. He brought energy to our table. My friend had a really bad headache, but I just happen to be visiting them. I am a trucker and this was opportunity to have a moment of time.

Austin instantly continued into conversation with me while I was trying to get into his mind to have some fun. He passed the quiz in my opinion lol. Things aren’t always as they seem in our country. We had a life or two and enjoyed a fabulous meal.

I even let him choose my meal. He was surprised when I kept saying surprise me surprise me. He gave me the Hardee’s meal with the lowest amount of carbs. Thank you, Austin.

I told his auntie how special he was as a server and a representation of this fine restaurant. A lot going on in this little shopping center peace on you today and every day and may the good Lord take your liking to you thank you Austin. Austin has the personality and the smile is the most important sound in any language I say but I got that from a combination of Dale Carnegie principles.

We have been coming here for years and always have a great experience! Tonight, we celebrated a birthday with our family. They easily accommodated 8 of us. Service was great, always filling our drinks and making sure we were okay. Food was hot and fresh! Medium spice was not too spicy. I only took 3 photos of Drunken Noodles, Spicy Eggplant and Thai Basil with Tofu. Everyone else had different curries. Everyone loved their dishes!

Planet Thai – A Lexington Lunchtime Gem!

I recently enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Planet Thai with friends. While the restaurant itself is simple, the food is absolutely amazing! The flavors are rich and authentic. I had the Chicken Pad Thai (mild spice level) and it was delicious! My friends raved about the Shrimp Pad Thai and Spicy Massaman Curry.

The Egg Drop Soup was a standout appetizer – incredibly flavorful and a perfect start to the meal.

The service was incredibly fast and friendly. Our entire lunch was over in just 33 minutes! The staff was efficient and made us feel welcome.

If you’re looking for a quick, delicious, and affordable lunch in Lexington, Planet Thai is a must-try! We’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.
