Reviews
We got the fried pickles with a side of Rigsby sauce and ranch dressings. We got a bacon cheese burger with sweet potato waffle fries, a pulled pork sandwich with cheerwine based BBQ sauce and fresh cut ff. Pork and burger were both very good.
Mrs. K. went straight for the fish sandwich that started this whole detour and I ordered a loaded burger. What arrived was a smoky, unusual burger with bacon, fried pickle slices, melted cheese and a general sense of indulgence that still worked even without the bun, and it was tasty in that satisfying, slightly messy way that makes you feel like you made the right call. Mrs. K. said her fish sandwich was good, simple and well prepared, exactly what she wanted after a long drive. Her sweet tea (again, welcome to South Carolina) was refilled, which is a sign that she’s enjoying it.
Rigsby’s feels like a place that’s trying hard to be family friendly and energetic, the kind of local chain that wants to be the dependable neighborhood option for burgers, wings, and a little bit of everything. I hadn’t heard of them before this visit and I suspect they’re up against some tight competition from both the regional players and the national chains that dominate this part of the world, but there’s an earnestness to the place that makes you hope they find their footing. I wish them luck because the food was good, the service was warm, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need on the road through the South.
We had burgers, ribs, wings and salad at our table and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back!
We had a great experience at Rigsby’s Smoked Burgers, Wings & Grill! We ordered the chicken tender basket and pulled pork basket, and both were delicious. The fresh-cut fries were a standout, and the slaw and Texas toast complemented the meal perfectly.
We sat at the bar, which we love for its multiple TVs and lively atmosphere. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. It is a bit pricier than some of our favorite local spots, and we’d love to see better drink specials, but overall, we can’t complain. Definitely worth a visit for great food and a fun bar experience!
Two of us came in on a Saturday evening. It was busy, as expected. We were fine with a wait, it happens! Quoted ten minutes and we got our name on the list.
Two parties ahead of us left before they got their tables. Red flag, but maybe they were impatient, we were willing to stick it out.
After 25 minutes of waiting we were sat. I was still sympathetic, it seemed like the staff were all working hard, and sometimes wait times are hard to estimate. We waited for our server.
And waited.
And waited.
After 45 minutes sat in our booth, no sight of our server and the only staff interaction being the host seating us, we left. Who knows how long it would have taken to actually get our food.
There were servers running around, so I’m sure it was a managerial issue, a mix of poor planning and bad communication. As our first impression, it was abysmal. I obviously can’t speak to the quality of the food, maybe it’s worth the hour and a half of wasted time, but I doubt it.

The service was great! Even though our waitress seemed a bit stretched and couldn’t seem to get caught up, she was very friendly. She was all but running from table to table. We had high hopes for the burger, due to friends recommendations, but we weren’t impressed. We asked for medium and medium well for temperature. Both burgers came out extremely well done and crunchy dry. The fries were cold and squishy. My wife’s soda was flat. The menu has a large variety and we are hoping we just caught them on a bad night. Being our first time here, we will give it another try in the future. I will update the review, if our next visit is better.
