Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. 100 hungry kids from CFHS Theatre and Choir departments give this place an A+!
This place has only been open a week and they’re starting off right: by investing in their local community! This location donated lunch for the Clear Falls High School musical cast & crew, since they missed their own school lunchtime due to a daytime performance for students from nearby intermediate schools. Communication was great, the order was ready on time and they were so organized and helpful (even loaded it into my car for me). They thought of everything: packaging, condiments, utensils – nothing was forgotten. And everything was delicious – you should have seen the kids faces light up when they realized what they were getting for lunch!

Yeah I was the first person to eat at this whataburger I live across the street street , UNFORTUNATELY I’m going to have to be forced to adjust my rating for this location , every time I come here there’s a new surprise problem , either missing food or the new problem hair in the food , 2 times this has happened in 2 nights not good going to have to call corporate

I’ve always considered Whataburger one of the better fast-food burger chains, which is why this visit was so disappointing. Unfortunately, this particular location really missed the mark.
I ordered a double meat Whataburger with the usual fixings and Whataburger sauce. The burger itself tasted bland, and the patties were dry and seemed stale or overheld. They were curled up around the edges and didn’t have that fresh, juicy texture I’ve come to expect. Overall, it just lacked flavor.
We also ordered a family box of fries. The portion size was decent, but the fries were bland and somewhat cold. I did have about a 15-minute drive home after pickup, so I can understand some heat loss, but that doesn’t explain the near-total lack of seasoning or flavor. They needed a generous amount of ketchup just to make them enjoyable.
To add to the experience, the coffee machine was apparently putting grounds into the coffee. The employee explained it needed to be cleaned out and was offering customers the option to take coffee in that condition. That was surprising and disappointing — it seems like something that should be resolved before serving it to guests.
Overall, this visit was not up to the standard I expect from Whataburger, and it will likely keep me from returning to this particular location.

Third visit to this new location and have been satisfied each time. We have used only the drive thru so not sure how the inside works. The people in the drive through are doing great! Spoke with Josephe A (order #1503769) today and I was surprised. He was so polite and professional, smiled, seemed to care about getting the order correct and was just really nice. Actually enjoyed interacting with him. Don’t usually have such nice people in fast food places but this location is doing great. This location is new, employees are learning, technology isn’t always perfect, etc etc. Let’s give them a break and encourage others to visit here. Personal opinion, keep up and keep smiling!

first time i went, took forever but i made sure they got my order correct at the drive thru. they said they got it. I finally got to the window they asked if i had a coke I said “no, I ordered a dr pepper” they proceeded to give me a coke. I give them back the coke and tell them again I ordered a dr pepper. they take the drink back and i see them not do anything with it. They hand me my food. there’s no cheese on my burger, i hand the burger back. I get the burger back correct this time and they close the window. I stay there bc I haven’t got my drink. the employee I gave my drink back to sees i’m still there and ignores me. another employee opened the window again and asked if i needed anything i reminded her i didn’t get my drink back and got it back. I gave it another chance yesterday I ordered fries and gravy, really simple. there was only two cars ahead of me but it took 20 minutes. when I got it the fries were soggy and the gravy was watery. you’re better off going to the kemah one until the employees get their lives together.

Ordered on the app for the first time, in a hurry got my food delivered to the curbside, fella that brought it was a nice pleasant fella. Fries were outstanding, but my burger wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I ordered on the app bacon double cheeseburger with plain and dry with no veggies and a side cup of barbecue sauce. When I opened my burger it had mustard and veggies on it. The Texas toast was correct but soggy. Starving I ate it anyway it was otherwise ok but just didn’t get what I ordered and since it was on the app it should of come on their screen correct, so this was either employee error or the app not acting right. I think three stars is a fair rating if not a bit generous.

This is probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Whataburger. I made 2 separate/different orders and both left me dissatisfied. First, I ordered curbside pickup. It was delivered outside of the ready for pickup time. That’s fine, a few minutes won’t kill me. Then I realized I forgot the shakes, so I decided to try the drive thru. It took forever, but that’s fine. Everyone else was getting food and I was just getting shakes, the wait was understandable. But then it’s finally my turn. They lost my order. I had to wait longer, she asked my name multiple times. My name didn’t change while waiting in line. Finally, they find my order and I get my shakes. No apology was offered. A simple “I’m sorry for the wait” would’ve made things a little better. Customer service matters. I got home ready to eat, and realize my mobile order was wrong! Save yourself the trouble and go to the location by Walmart. It’s a further drive, but better service.
Both orders were wrong, they gave me chocolate malts not regular chocolate shakes.

This is the second time I’ve tried to go into and eat at this establishment and I’ve turned around and walked out before I can even place the order both times. Nobody is a paying attention to the customers at all. Everybody working there is just cutting up and goofing off. The whole staff needs to be fired and new management needs to be brought in to try to change the culture. Until then, I will not be back at this location. There are a few other Whataburger locations in the area I’d rather go to this circus. You have been warned people.
