Lovely independent cafe near the lake with lovely welcoming staff and both seating inside and outside. Very reasonably priced and you do not need to pay park entrance, which is slightly further down the road. The garlic cheese balls are a must! If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely be coming back.

Well, the owner told me my total was $71 for a park permit. I found out later that it is only $70 for an annual non- resident park pass. So, I assumed the extra $1 was a fee for her to sell it to me. I got home and found out they charged me $73.66. If there are extra fees tell me the right amount when I’m paying. My advice, go the park ranger it’s a flat $70 because there are no taxes or hidden fees like these guys. I grew up in Southwest Nebraska and having this happen to me is sad.
