So yummy, affordable, and flavorful and the bread definitely hit. The chicken was also so tender. Half drunken chicken and half crawfish étouffé. The food definitely comforted me because I took a 16 hour nap after

Ordered the Gumbo but it looks and tastes more like jambalaya. Very thick with loads of rice (and I mean LOADS!) with small bits of chicken and sausage. I’ve never had gumbo like this befor but I am aware there are many variations. I won’t be ordering this one anymore. The flavor was dark and lacking something so I had to put my own spin on it. The staff was welcoming and nice and service was excellent. Ordered in advance and it was ready and still hot upon pickup.

Great staff, cozy basic interior and solid food. The menu is very limited however. I personally order the drunken chicken which has depth in the flavor department and the rice is soft and robust. The bread is stellar that is served with it.

Update: Out running some errands and decided to hit up Yats Grandview. I THOUGHT it was Abby working BUT it was actually Kat working today, she has been working there 6-7 years. I ordered a half Chicken Maque Choux and half Spinach and Mushroom Etouffee. OMG!!! The Chicken Maque Choux has some nice tender chicken and corn with a smooth creamy sauce. It’s to die for. The other half was a creamy vegetarian roux based sauce with mushrooms and spinach blended with green curry and a blend of other spices. And of course I had to have a double order of the buttered bread. Yummy!!! Another plus this time was meeting another one of their team Kat, she been with them for 6-7 years. Another one of the great employees that Jason/Abbey have turned out. If you get a chance you have to stop in and taste some really phenomenal tasting food.

Decided I was going to hit up a place that I had been to their Food Truck. I was met by Eric working the cash register. I ordered the Maque Choux and Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage. I also ordered several bread servings. The red beans and sausage were flavored perfectly over the rice. Super flavorful. The Maque Choux was so creamy and delicious with the mixture of corn and chicken. Definitely to die for. The bread is so off the chart, filled with flavor. I could eat a whole loaf in a heartbeat. Also had time to talk with Collin who works in the kitchen. But the person who exudes the meaning of hospitality was Abbey the owners daughter who runs prep and the front of the house. I had met her several years ago when she was working with her dad (Jason) on the Food Truck. If you want to taste some flavorful food, you need to check out Yats in Grandview. You won’t be disappointed!!

First time trying Cajun and it was so yum! The drunken chicken was there most popular for a good reason. The drunken chicken was so flavorful, the chili cheese etouffee crayfish paled in comparison.

(had to tame it a bit with some sour cream), overall best etouffee I have had since I was in NOLA!

Best deal in town for a family/small group takeout meal! Columbus is not really a hotbed of creole or Cajun food, so Yats is especially appreciated for keeping the quality high when most folks have a limited point of comparison. Everything is seasoned perfectly – not just a bland recipe with some Tabasco thrown on, but made by someone with experience getting the roux right and who knows what the trinity is.

I had never been to Yats until my partner took me there. It’s in a small shop in Grandview, the menu had so many options but I got the Mox Choix Chicken. The food was incredible, my dish came with this toast that helped soak up all the goodness. Service was good and our food was made quickly.

I have already told friends and family about this spot and will be returning.

We had Yats Cajun Creole cater my daughter and son-in-law’s baby shower in July. Jason was so helpful and he personally delivered the food to the venue and helped us set it up. Their prices were incredible reasonable and most of all everyone loved the food. I wouldn’t think twice about using them again. Working with them was such a fabulous experience. Thank you Jason!

Great food, very quick service. The highlight is that the food is quite homely, and doesn’t taste like it’s made by some fast food joint. The variety of sauces and seasoning options are also great. The option to mix and match dishes and main course is also worth trying. Recommended for lunch and dinner.
