The real deal. No prepared food here. I travel a lot! I intentionally get off the Interstate Highway and look for little Mom & Pop cafes with homemade food that is frequented by locals – especially for breakfast. And, better yet, if I can find a place that has breakfast all day. Hallelujah! This is one of those places. The owner has four area restaurants like this and knows exactly how to operate a successful local business and keep America’s small town main streets and squares alive. “Abbie,” thanks for a great breakfast, good coffee, a little entertainment, and a joyful presentation.

A nice place with good food and a friendly ambiance. Nice little town – birthplace of Thomas Edison. – they still have a town square there. Glad we stopped- not many places to get a decent meal along this stretch of the Ohio turnpike

I asked the waited specially if I can substitute the meat with a hashbrown, she confirmed yes. Then I was billed for the hash browns. When asked why, the waitress said you can substitute only for kids meal not adult, which was never discussed.

My favorite breakfast food is country fried steak and sausage gravy with over medium eggs. Well, boom!! Out of the park delicious. Their loaded hashbrowns were crunchy and well seasoned! My wife had egg whites and bacon with two huge pancakes

Great little diner, jam packed for breakfast especially on the weekends. That’s always a good sign. Right there in little town of Milan, where Thomas Edison was born. It’s right on the square of the town, and it’s quite picturesque — quintessential small town Ohio. I just happened upon this place, and was absolutely thrilled to try it. Had a good breakfast, wonderful wait staff, and they even carry some of the local chocolates, which were absolutely yummy. I’d like to get back there for lunch because I suspect it’d be great. Tiny dining room but again, don’t be afraid to sit at the counter. Definitely lots of local flavor, definitely a hangout that is worth the trip.

We looked for something out of the way, a local restaurant. This place had 4.6 stars and seemed to fit our purpose. We waited for a longer time than expected because we started with a group of 6. The wait time was not a problem for us. Once we sat down it took a considerable amount of time to order our drinks and even longer before we got them. Our food took a long time to come out once we ordered. Once it did, it was the worst food I’ve ever had for breakfast. One person had an order of 3 eggs while another had two….the person with three only had one. Portion sizes were horrible! Cubed red potatoes were black and too hard to eat. The breakfast was more expensive than most places and was not worth half of what we paid. Our server was not concerned whatsoever how our food was. When I paid, the young girl asked how our food was. Once I told her it was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had, she said she was sorry and would not look at me after that. I try to see the best in every situation, but there was nothing here to see the bright side of. I would not recommend this restaurant to absolutely anyone. Whatever the problem is I hope they get fixed.

This may be the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever visited. It was not very busy when we went. Every surface was sticky. The bacon tasted as if it has been made on the oldest flat top or fryer which has never cleaned by a single human being ever. They serve sad wilted potatoes and extra hard eggs when they were ordered over medium. The service, on the other hand, was very good. The servers should find a better place to work because this place is a disaster. Don’t waste your time and money giving this place a shot.

Loved the trash potatoes. The staff is friendly, kind, and attentive. My coffee mug never got below the halfway mark before our server came by to give it a warm-up. The place has a wonderfully cozy, hometown ambiance that can’t be beat. Would definitely stop again if I’m ever in the area.

Great Restaurant Better Food!
On my way fishing for the day with my Grandson Jaxson, I want to take him to a restaurant that wasn’t fast food. I made sure we talked about Thomas Edison due to the restaurant’s atmosphere with Edison pictures thru out.
I had the Corned Beef Hash Plater ( my favorite ) w/egg’s and wheat toast. Jaxson got the Cheese Burger in paradise & Fries Everything was fantastic! The service was awesome

Best breakfast restaurant in the area. We drive from Bellevue because we like food that doesnt taste like old grease. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had good food and service at other restaurants, but this place is the most consistent.
