This was our first visit to Sakura, but it won’t be our last. I had no idea they were in Woodland, but we went with friends for an anniversary celebration and the hibachi was fantastic. My husband and I had the Sakura combination for two and it was delicious! The filet was so tender and the seafood was perfectly cooked. The vegetables and rice were awesome!

We waited for our friends at the bar and enjoyed some cocktails. I had the Cherry Blossom, which was delightful. We saw some of the sushi rolls others were eating and are excited to go back to try that experience.

We absolutely enjoyed our dinner and definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

Fun Teppanyaki cast iron grill seating with a talented cooking your dinner and seeing it to you from the iron plate to your plate. Your New York steak and shrimp cooked to your liking. A little more done than my usual medium rare filet mignon but still very appetizing. We shared the stone shrimp a deep fried breaded appetizer with a light sauce. Steak and calamari consumed with gusto and was the first entree in the cleanest plate club. Shrimp and scallops was another tasty dinner. The amount of fried rice served on every dish was incredible. Loved the vegetables but some again were a little over done. Six of us all enjoyed the dinner as it was first visit and we all would recommend for any size family or business group or date night.

Great service and the bartender is absolutely killing it with the best drinks! We tried the new sushi box—it totally exceeded our expectations. So happy to see a local small business making such a big impact in the community.

Our waiter, Derrick, and our chef delivered great service and that is why I gave five stars on service. We ate there on Monday, December 09, 2024.
My daughter’s 20th birthday was the occasion for our celebration. She selected the fried calamari appetizer to try, and California spring rolls and then we proceeded to order our meals. While our food was being prepared in front of us, we were not aware that raw calamari had been added to the grill. We were uncertain about its appearance except for the fried version, which was what we were expecting.
After addressing the misunderstanding, the manager declined to provide the fried calamari and still charged us for the full calamari dinner, which neither of us consumed.
Requesting clarification on which calamari dish we preferred would have been sensible. The manager could have proposed alternatives, such as a charging us for the appetizer or waiving the charge or even a coupon. Given the celebratory nature of the occasion, plus not asked which calamari, it should have been obvious that it was an appetizer because it was ordered first along with the spring rolls. Fried calamari takes six minutes to make and it was not busy at all. Only us and another family of three.
It was a Monday so the atmosphere is probably nice on a busier night and food was ok. Was it unreasonable to anticipate a more considerate response?
I’m a server at Cattlemens and they are accommodating, but usually only accommodating to the rudest & loudest patrons. I don’t understand rewarding bad behavior. Which made me think if I was loud or rude would it have been different. I’ll never know because I’m not loud or rude. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, as they seem to undervalue repeat customers.
I’m not usually a complainer nor do I like writing a negative review, I’ll usually not write the review. However; I left there paying $100 and not a completely happy customer.
I will give them credit for the birthday production. I did like that she got a dessert, two workers sang to her and had a big sparkler as a candle. That was all appreciated.

Absolutely Obsessed with Their Hibachi!

Sakura in Woodland is hands down one of my favorite places to eat — I am obsessed with their hibachi! Every time I go, it’s such a fun and flavorful experience. The chefs are super entertaining, the food is cooked perfectly right in front of you, and the portions are huge!

The hibachi meals are packed with flavor — tender meat, perfectly cooked veggies, and that signature fried rice that’s seriously addicting. The sauces tie everything together, and the presentation makes the whole experience feel special, whether you’re there for a celebration or just treating yourself.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes sure you’re taken care of. I love that it’s a mix of fun energy and great food — you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

If you haven’t tried the hibachi at Sakura yet, you’re missing out. It’s easily one of the best dining experiences in Woodland!

Been here before a couple of times with family and it’s always been great. Went in the early afternoon, was seated right away. Ordered the Sushi and Sashimi for 2 and the shrimp and vegetable tempura. I’ll tell you what, WOW! Definitely exceeded my expectations, I hadn’t had sashimi here but I was impressed. I know it may not be ‘middle of the ocean fresh’ fish but it was very very good. Definitely had enough just on the plate to feed nearly 3 people.
The plate came with so much fish and the specialty rolls were also prepared very nicely.
Also ordered a large house hot sake and it was very good, had a little more flavor than some other house sake’s I’ve had.
It was also my birthday, my mother, of course, mentioned it and they were super cool to bring it deep fried ice cream. It was very nice of them and very good, but you gotta eat it quick before the deep fried coating gets soggy
Definitely my go to for sushi in Woodland.

Sushi was great. Good portions of fish, the rolls are not mostly rice like some places. They had a special “hanami platter” that was fantastic if you want some more unique sushi options. Very happy

The rice, salmon, and shrimp were extremely bland and they automatically added a $14 tip. Bar tender was new/ inexperienced. I do not recommend.
