My wife and I travel a lot. I’ve begun to dread eating out. Overpriced mediocre food. Pretentious descriptions of dishes that turn out to be disappointing. Rude personnel.
So when we stopped here for lunch I wasn’t expecting much.
I’m happy to say none of that applies here. Our lunch was delicious. The food was unique and delicious. My wife ordered the Naked Poppers for an appetizer. I usually don’t like poppers which seem to be exactly alike everywhere. Not here. These jalapeños were tender, wrapped in bacon and filled with creamy, melted cream cheese. Awesome.
I had the special, gourmet grilled cheese. It was very filling and heavy with delicious vegetables. I had the haystack onion rings and they were finely drizzled with parmesan cheese. Delicious.
My wife had a burger. I was too busy eating mine to see what kind she had. Every staff person was happy and gracious.

We consistently enjoy patronizing this establishment during our visits to Eagle River. They provide a commendable selection of draft beers, complemented by a delightful culinary offering.
Nina, our Bartender this evening, was exceptionally attentive and personable. Landon, the General Manager on duty, was notably outgoing and engaging in conversation.

Prime rib sandwich and fries was great! The drinks and food options for celiac/gluten friendly groups and needs was also very good. Seating outside was beautiful on the deck, looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Phenomenal wait staff, water glasses were always full. Our waitress was very attentive to our table constantly coming back to ask questions and to check up on us, she knew the drink menu very well too. Our appetizers seemed to arrive immediately after ordering them.. & our dinner came out relatively quickly as well! We even got dessert because we enjoyed the experience & atmosphere so much. Will definitely be returning in the future!

My husband and I visited Kickback during a weekend trip to Eagle River last November, and the food was great. We had the truffle parm fries, the salmon flatbread and some really delicious pasta. The fries were so good that we ended up ordering more to take back to the hotel with us.

Came here for lunch. Lunch menu is somewhat limited (apps, burgers, wraps, and salads) compared to their dinner menu, but still big enough to satisfy most people. I ordered the naked jalapeno poppers and french onion burger, which were both absolutely delicious. My wife couldn’t stop raving about her bloody mary’s. Great view, great atmosphere, and great service. Will definitely be back.

On our up North trip, we visited the Kickback grill twice. The wheat beers from Tribute we’re excellent, my wife enjoying both the mango and blueberry. I tuna was garnished with a neat flavor combo that I really enjoyed. It was spicy. I had the Reuben the next time, and it was really excellent. The beef was very flavorful, three slices of rye weren’t too powerful, and the kraut was just sweet enough. Great job!
