Driving by Newton feeling hungry so I stopped by this place. It was a surprise. Didn’t expect a taste or New Orleans in Newton! It’s great! For sure stop by and grab a bite!

Went to this place for the first time tonight and I was thoroughly impressed. The service was great, and the food was even better. We ordered fried okra and fried pickles, and had we known just how large the portions would be, we would have just stuck with one appetizer. For $7, the portions are very generous, probably double what you’d get elsewhere, and they don’t skimp on quality either. I ordered the grilled fish and shrimp combo, which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The side of fries was crispy, lightly seasoned, and heaping. Another person in my group got grilled chicken with their fish, and the chicken was delicious as well. Notice a pattern here? Excellent food, great service, and worth every penny. If you like seafood, support small business and give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I love the hush puppies and they have good sides. They have mainly catfish and no cod. Cute and quaint mom and pop place. Definitely worth a try!

The food and service was fabulous. You get lots of food for the money. We had catfish, shrimp, fried oysters and chicken. All were very good. Tried fried dill pickle slices for the first time, loved them! We will be back!

Shrimp and brisket po boys were good. The Philly cheese steak and crab cakes were both amazing tho. Others that ate the fish, chicken and gizzard however had a different experience. Hopefully it was just some kinks getting worked out as a new food establishment. They claimed the gizzards were more chewy than usual. Also the fish and chicken were way too salty. But I was not the one eating those items but hopefully if that’s the case this could help prevent it from happening again. I was pleased with my food. Best of luck Newton seafood! Love that you deliver and was in good time as well with pleasant customer skills and I’ll be coming back. Also appreciate the phone call to show care and concern with my feelings toward my experience. Sorry I let it go to voice mail! You rock!! I’ll be back.

We had 6 people with out reservations they accommodated us within 10 mins. The fish & shrimp was great. The grilled chicken strips was ok a little dried out. All the side dishes we had was very good. Would recommend is place.

This place is great. The food is delicious and the servers are very nice and helpful. We love the fried green tomatoes and the fried fish and shrimp. My husband got grilled fish and shrimp and it was very tasty, I’ll be getting that next time.

Went there for a date night after hearing so many good things. I ordered 3 fish, 3 shrimp, 3 chicken. Was more like 3.5 of fish and chcken and 4 shrimp. Had coleslaw and green beans as the side. Fantastic — all of it!! Date ordered the philly and red beans and rice as his side. I’m picky about my red beans and rice but his was pretty flavorful. Waitstaff was friendly and let us know immediately they had run out of catfish which disappointed my date, but I was ok with. Great food, cute decor, excellent service! Will be back!

The flavors of the various menu choices are incredible. Such awesome flavor. The fried items are perfect, not greasy and enjoyable. Bring your appetite. The portions are large, and the price is not. Very happy. I’ll be back again.
