Between being the restaurant that has changed ownership more than any other and as the third Mexican restaurant in Macomb, I went with a little trepidation. I’m happy to say my concerns were unfounded. From the cheerful wait staff to the quick arrivals of the meals, I was hopeful the food would be good too. My plate of Nachos Grande was really yummy. My friend and my husband both enjoyed their meals too. Their quick service enabled us to get to our evening entertainment on time. It ended up being the perfect start to a very enjoyable evening

Best Mexican food in Macomb! Enchiladas were the best I have had in a long time, with just the right amount of heat. Wife’s taco salad what one should be. Service was fast. Will return often.

We had an excellent meal at this restaurant tonight. The place was clean, the waiter was kind & helpful, the food was exceptional, and all at a reasonable price! I’m not one to write comments about businesses but this one deserves a shout out. Go see for yourself.

August 5, 2019–Monday. I took my 3 very young grandsons in there on this hot afternoon for only cold drinks after we played and walked alot outside. He brought chips and salsa. I said we are just getting drinks. He gave a menu. He got our cold drinks. Soon he asked for my order. I said only the drinks. I DID eat some chips and salsa. So I can accept paying for that even though I thought those were usually on the house. Anyway, even paying for that, my bill of eleven dollars and sixty two cents,11.62, seemed very extreme. I did not complain. But I think he 1. Is not a people person or did not understand my speaking, and 2.was not kind. I’m not sure about his honesty. I don’t know him. But he gave off signs of wishing we were not there. I told my grandsons that he is not a bad man but he is not a good restaurant person. I will not go there again.

Steak is very ruff and I swear the tortillas are old. They have a bad taste. Beans are watered down. Ordered bean dip and received dip that had a small amount of beans then topped with a lot of cheese sauce. Mixed it up and still could not taste the beans at all. Don’t order unless you want cheese dip.

I really enjoy their food but it is hard to frequent a business that chooses to close when they want. They list 8pm when you search them online and 9pm on the door but will close at 7pm. I have even called first and been told they were closing at 9pm only to arrive at 8:30 and be told they are closed. It is a major inconvenience and it has happened to me three times too many.

Hidden Gem of Macomb IL! Also in Galesburg and Monmouth. All you Western Illinois University kids have to check it out! Awesome Nacho salad, ask for refried beans on the side, ‘cuz they’re great for dipping. Don’t miss out!
