Social Profile:

Country Cookin Diner is family owned and operated by Jim and Debby Broome. Our family started in 1985 with the opening of Kountry Kitchen in Merritt Island by Helen Broome. Debby started working at Kountry Kitchen in 1986 as a server and eventually worked her way into management. After 16 years and countless meals Helen decided to retire and sold the restaurant. After working at Kountry Kitchen for 15 years Debby opened Country Cookin’ Diner in 2001. This small 46-seat diner in Cocoa was envisioned as being a business Debby with a couple of employees could operate easily. That wasn’t the case, the diner took off and several employees were added and eventually Jim joined the business full time.

Hearty portions of classic diner fare doled out from morning to night in low-key surrounds.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Country Cookin’ Coco – Real Florida Comfort

Country Cookin’ Coco is the kind of place that feels like you’ve just stepped into proper Florida home-style hospitality. Breakfast here is big, bold, and full of choice — the kind of menu that makes you pause, smile, and think, “Right, this is going to be good.”

Everything we ordered was tasty and hearty, exactly what you want from a local breakfast spot that doesn’t try to be fancy — just honest, delicious food done right.

And then there’s Amanda. The welcome she gives you is pure Florida sunshine — warm, genuine, friendly, and completely effortless. She’s the kind of person who makes you feel like a regular on your very first visit.

Overall: big portions, great flavour, huge breakfast choices, and that classic Florida welcome that sets the tone for the whole day. A proper local gem. ✨

Really busy, but the staff were friendly, and we did not wait long to get seated. Good menu! We were really well attended to, until the food arrived. Then it took quite a while to flag someone down to remind them about the toast I had ordered with the meal. And picking up our checks after they were dropped off seemed to have been forgotten, but we didn’t mind checking out at the counter. The food itself was good and well priced! However I asked for a vegetarian omelet because I enjoy vegetables, and there were tiny cubed pieces of ham in it. Thankfully I’m not allergic to pork, Jewish, or a vegetarian; otherwise, discovering ham in my omelet 30% of the way into it would have been really upsetting. All this being said, I had a positive enough of an experience to want to return.

Delicious breakfast menu! Everything was scrumptious! It reminded me of a local modern Cracker Barrel. Very cozy and farm house decorated with a modern flare, I love it!

The only thing I was not a fan of was when the bill came and the lady was holding the card machine and watched as I was leaving the tip over my shoulder. The tip was already suggested 21%, 23% or 27%. I was shocked, in my opinion that is too high. Usually it’s 18%, 20%, 22% I don’t think the suggested tip should be so high. I didn’t like that the restaurant forces you to tip so high. Don’t get me wrong, I tip where it’s deserved and if my waiter or waitress is outstanding the tip I leave will reflect their performance. I don’t like to be forced on a certain percentage of suggested tip. Other than that we enjoyed our breakfast here just wanted to mention about the suggested tip for the next person to be aware. Also it’s my hopes that the restaurant may review the suggested tip screen and adjust it. Who knows maybe more customers will continue going back.

Met there for lunch with my brother and sister-in-law. They had pancakes and eggs. We had a salad that was huge. I had the soup of the day which was delicious and fried green tomatoes, and they were yummy. The service as well as their other restaurants was great and fast.

#76 Country Cookin’ #2, just need to hit Rockledge now! Much like the last Country Cooin’, everything was really good. Went for round two with the Cajun grits because, well, they’re really tasty. I’ll be back to this one because I want check out their outside seating area. Oh, don’t forget to catch the specials on your way in, I totally did – another reason I will have to come back!

I recently visited Great Country Dinner after returning from a cruise from Port Canaveral, and it was a wonderful experience! The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The facility is new and very clean, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. The hostesses were welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

One of the best parts is that it’s only a 5 to 10-minute drive from the port, making it super convenient for cruise passengers. The only minor downside was that it was a bit cold inside, but overall, it was a great way to start our day. Highly recommend this place!
