Mel’s Cafe is absolutely amazing! Mel made maple bars and turtle bars for my welcome bags, and everyone raved about them. She also created all the desserts for my daughter’s wedding, and they were beyond incredible—beautifully made, delicious, and unforgettable. People were still talking about them long after the wedding was over. Mel’s talent, attention to detail, and ability to make desserts that wow both the eyes and the taste buds are unmatched. Highly recommend!

I got the breakfast burrito, white chocolate mocha iced and a muffin. They were all fabulous. The burrito was packed with flavor and full. The coffee was also perfect, the service was also great both of the girls working were nice and courteous as well as helpful, definitely will be back<3

You may know Mel for her cafe in Soldotna, but I got to experience Mel and her incredible service at my wedding this past weekend! She wore many hats throughout the day including making bridal suite breakfast boards, wedding party sandwich bread for lunch, bartending throughout the night, and made our wedding cake including three dessert bar choices. Oh, and I can’t forget the individually wrapped dessert bars that we included in our welcome bags at the hotels! Everything was phenomenal, and even when there were unexpected challenges with another bartender having to leave early, she stuck around late to cover and help out. If you are lucky enough to try Mel’s desserts, you can tell they are made from the heart and catered to your exact needs. She went out of her way to customize our s’mores wedding cake, s’mores cupcakes, caramel cheesecake cookies, and tiramisu cups that I’m still dreaming about. A wonderful woman to know and such a pleasure to work with 🙂
