When my family walked in, there was a table of large group of people in front of the entrance. All other tables were unoccupied, but we were escorted to be seated next to the large group. They were super noisy! We couldnt focus on our meals at all.. We wished we were seating far away from them. Also the servers never changed our dirty plates until we finished. If the servers were more experienced, they should’ve given us a better considered seating place and clean plates in between the meals…..
BTW the food was ok.❤️

I had a surprise birthday party in November 2025 at Augie’s and I must say that I would not hesitate to go back! Not only is it a great venue, it’s a BYOB, the food and service are outstanding. Needless to say, our guests had a great time and that made me so happy. It was a pleasure to deal with Annie and Jody. They both made this a very easy party to plan. Look forward to going back soon!!

Augies is on an off-street in Harrington park. Unless you live nearby it’s unlikely you’ll see it just passing through town. But it’s worth seeking it out. This is a bring-your-own-bottle establishment ( a big plus for me). Beginning with the painless online reservation process to the attentive staff and elegant atmosphere this trattoria hits it on every mark. I had a spedini appetizer with extra anchovie sauce. It was packed with flavor and a good size for an appetizer if not a little big. I shared some with a guest and it was still enough. For the entree I had pork chop arrabbiata. The chop was done perfectly and without question, the juiciest most flavorful pork chop I’ve ever eaten slightly spicy but not too much for my likes the spiciness was spot on. My guests had shrimp over flounder and lemon angel hair with chicken and shrimp. Both guests raved about their meals as well. For dessert, we had traditional Tartufo and I could tell this Tartufo was made with all fine ingredients. Not a run-of-the-mill Tartufo at all. And we also had the cannoli. Both my guests ( very Italian) commented on how perfect the cannoli was. The food was beyond what I’ve had in a long time. Absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Last but not least the wait staff. Michelle our waitress was amazing not only extremely efficient and knowledgeable about every dish but absolutey engaging as well. The assistant waiter ensured our drinks were always full. And the hostess was so patient with my 4 phone calls to change reservations. I’ve been to Augies other two restaurants and expected the same quality and was not disappointed. Augie is just amazing in his field and I expect him to one day be a revered restaurateur. All of the establishments are of the highest quality in service and food. Definitely someone destined for greatness in his field. My suggestion get there soon because all his restaurants fill up quickly.

You have to love a restuarant that not only has great food, great service but also one that makes you feel like family. We had about 30 agents from Howard Hanna Rand Realty for a dinner and WOW, blown away by the exceptional food and service. Thanks Jina! PS … their sister restaurant Cork n Crust is also amazing … Bon Appetit!

I’d have to give the food a 1. Would give it a 0 if I could but I didn’t get any food.
Service I would give a negative rating if I could considering we as a party of 5 walked in and didn’t see an employee for 5 minutes so we left.
Atmosphere I’d also give a negative score if I could. We walked in, and the place looked closed. There was one couple there that looked confused by the surroundings. The restaurant looked abandoned. There were chairs stacked up on one side as if the restaurant were closing.
Really a shame. It used to be good.

Came for the first time to celebrate my birthday after having had a wonderful experience with their related restaurant, Cork & Crust. The vibe was cozy and gave the feeling of being in someone’s home being fed a homemade meal. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! The back room we were in felt a little tight but honestly forgot about it as the dinner went on. Look forward to coming back for another great dinner.

Nice place for dinner, it is very authentic Italian place. We had crab cakes, which were amazing, short rib ravioli. The bread is to die for:) Would come back even with a risk to gain extra couple pounds each time:)

We had an excellent meal at Augie’s Trattoria from beginning to end. It was relatively quiet, as restaurants tend to be in Northern NJ during the summer, but the attention we received from Jodi was second to none. My salmon was cooked to perfection and dessert, though limited, really put a great final touch to our meal. We will be back!

We were surprised to find out that half of the restaurant transferred into a Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was depressing and although our service was good and the waitress tried to help, there were very limited options for vegetarians. It was weekend evening but some of the products were already ran out and even the coffee machine didn’t work. We had good memories from this place a couple of years ago, but we will not come back.

Delicious food and gluten free options were made available for my pasta as well as my main dish. Could not believe how close its is, highly recommended.
