Had a fabulous lunch at Wasabi yesterday!! I had the spicy Margarita(perfect and not spicy). My sister ordered the old fashioned with smoked at the table option. It was delicious. Then onto two appetizers seafood tacos and brussell sprouts both delicious. I had the Black Ramen and sister had shrimp lo mein. We both upgraded to the avocado salad as well. Every dish we had was supergood. Our server was attentive as well. Recommended!

It was great, the fried rice was probably the best ive had in a while. Our server kept disappearing and we had empty glasses a lot. He also charged us for regular priced items instead of the happy hour prices, fixed it by a dollar price discount, it was still wrong but we didnt want to wait another 10 minutes for him to fix the 1 dollar difference.
Food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice, a little too dark for me to read the menu at times but overall very nice. Just wish the service was a tad faster and attentive, completely understand when it is busy, but the pace in the place was slow overall. (Friendly service though! Just not quick)

Decided to try Wasabi because we bought the $100 gift card deal from Costco (spend $75 – get $100 in gift card value), and we loved it!
We were greeted + seated immediately upon arrival on a Thursday night. I really liked the lighting & atmosphere, I thought it was very relaxing.
We ordered—
• lychee / passionfruit lemonade
• raspberry lemonade
• Korean Fried Chicken (appetizer) — it was okay, I was expecting more but can’t figure out what’s missing.
• 4 pieces of salmon nigiri — Good quality fish!
• eel + cucumber roll
• salmon + cucumber roll
• chicken fried rice — it had a really good smoky flavor
• shrimp lo mein — I wanted to keep it simple and I love noodles. I thought the lo mein here was fantastic and it had the perfect portion of vegetables + protein.
Our server Alex was very attentive, patient, and friendly with the two of us. Wasabi is lucky to have an employee as great as he is!
Total was ~$97 for everything excluding tip. We will definitely be coming back. 🙂

This is my first time eating at Wasabi in Ankeny. I’ve eaten at some of their other locations in the past. The food is always exceptional and it was a very busy night and we had a big group but their staff was so attentive and so patient with us.

Every time I come to Wasabi, Kaitlin is the reason I keep coming back. She’s so friendly, attentive, and just has the best energy…you can tell she actually cares about her customers. My drink never runs empty, and she always checks in at the perfect time without hovering. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel so welcome and taken care of. She makes the whole dining experience 10x better. Definitely ask for Kaitlin if you stop by …. she’s the sweetest!

I love love love Wasabi! My husband and kids bring me here for Mother’s Day and my birthday. My favorite sushi roll is Spicy Mexico and their Shrimp Lo Mein is so mouth watering good, my go to drink is the Spicy Jalapeno Margarita. My husband goes for their Rock n Roll sushi roll and beef fried rice. My daughters love the kimchi ramen. For apps we usually have Spicy garlic edamame, pan fried pork dumplings, crispy crab Rangoon.

At the Ankeny location … Great food. Started with the pork dumpling appetizers: crispy yet moist in a light fresh ginger sauce with fresh scallions. I prefer white chicken; so we ordered the orange chicken. Oh my gosh … perfectly crispy with the highlight of orange sauce with fresh broccoli and carrots. It was wonderful. I had the raspberry vodka martini (so good I ordered a 2nd) and my husband had the smoked bourbon. Everything was exceptional. Our server Kaitlyn was so helpful and personable – professional and really made our experience special. First time I have ever written a review of a restaurant, the food and service are highly recommended. Thank you, Kaitlyn for making our meal fabulous~~ Martini cocktail before meal with the heart was a sign of a wonderful evening.

When you walk into this place you are always greeted with a beautiful, calm, and clean dining room. The lights are decorative and a comfortable dimness. The servers are nice and accommodating. The food is flavorful as well. Very good restaurant overall!
