We were going to the Stand comedy club and found this restaurant by chance on Google as it was close by. The food was excellent just be careful when ordering we ordered far too much even though my wife and her friend ordered the half portion there was so much and the nan bread was massive. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Shish.

Went with the family. Great service. Mr Ali(junior) was around and was extremely welcoming. Enjoyed hospitality very well! Very attentive and welcoming staff. Service was top notch. Tikka masala, jalfrezi, vegetable kadahi, malai kofta weee delicious! We asked for medium spice level which was perfect although my daughter thought the malai kofta could’ve been a little spicy. Visit if you’re around Glasgow Starters of mixed pakora, cauliflower and veg pakora and samosa chaat were very good!

Delicious curry but the best part of £50 for a takeaway for one felt pretty chunky. Perhaps my fault for not clarifying that some of the sides were not main courses. Was keen to sample the CTM, and was not disappointed.

Great service by all staff and Andleeb, he gave us a lot of tips as first time hikers in Glasgow.

It’s apparently the place chicken tikka masala was invented!

Food was delicious

The food was okay, nothing special — but the staff were incredibly grumpy and unwelcoming. We were handed a written bill that didn’t match the prices on the menu — there was an unexplained extra £10 added. When we politely pointed it out, they didn’t even bother to apologise. Overall, a terrible experience. Won’t be returning.

Just had a fantastic meal in Shish. Lived in Glasgow 20 years but never been. Apparently the origin of CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA in the late 70s. Great food, wine, beer and service.

On a cold wintery evening the food was warming and hearty. Maybe just lacking in atmosphere as the room we sat in was really brightly lit and the decor quite minimal. Service was friendly and efficient and I would recommend if you are looking for good quality Indian food

Had dinner here recommended by a friend, it was fantastic! Had a biryani – came with the top sealed, and the naan was massive. Everything tasted great, and big portions.
