My family and kids been coming here for years and the food is always consistent. I love the sushi rolls, and my husband and kids always get the chicken and ribeye – never disappoint.
We also heard there’s a new Hayward location coming soon with great deals. Can’t wait to visit since our parents live out there. Congrats on the expansion.

It’s been several months since I last visited this place. They pretty much updated the menu now. The food is still good here, but they removed the option to where you want veggies or not. I personally don’t mind if they do that since they still tastes fresh anyways. The place has been around here for long, but not sure if it will become popular. I honestly do think that bento boxes that come with sushi rolls would be a good idea, but I am still fine with them not adding them. I may need to try their sushi the next time I come to this place.

Cookie cutter atmosphere that every other modern fast-ish food quick bites place tries to copy now. Food is mediocre but it just opened so can’t judge too hard on that. Had the $1 California roll they promoted for grand opening and it was nothing special.
I hope they carve out a niche and provide authentic, rustic, fresh, simple food. No BS, no fluff. And keep the price simple as well.

Ordered chicken&shrimp but got beef and shrimp instead. When I asked the workers got no apology or compensation, they simply threw the old food away and gave me a new plate. Food was very mid. Would not recommend this place especially if you have any dietary restrictions because they can mess it up very easily. Price was decent.

We ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Bowl (added veggies) and got severe food poisoning. The chicken was clearly spoiled, but the heavy sauce masked the smell. After eating, my husband had repeated vomiting, intense stomach cramps, diarrhea, and weakness. This wasn’t mild discomfort it was full-blown food poisoning.
This is a serious food safety issue. Serving spoiled meat is dangerous and unacceptable. We’ve never experienced anything this bad from takeout before. Save yourself the risk and order elsewhere.

Seen a review on here that the food was “mediocre” I think they misunderstood their concept of fresh, simple and healthy eats, not everything has to be an elaborate gourmet meal. Came in with my entire family and we loved it! We got several Ribeye + Shrimp Combos and tried their Lion King Specialty Roll as well as their Crunchy Roll and we loved everything! Workers were very kind and everything was served quick. Definitely will be coming back and telling everyone I know to try it! Congrats Teriyaki City Grill you’ll be popular very fast!!!

I’ve dined in and done take out food. Staff are all friendly and very helpful. Very clean. Food is delicious and always fresh tasting. Plus, the prices are affordable all in all a great place to eat.

Delicious and affordable, at least that’s what my take was. until what little I ate made me throw up. I ordered the dumplings, it close all of $3.85, I am on a tight budget, so that order was good for me.
I thought the dumplings were pretty good and Susana, was the lady who took my order, she was friendly and nice. The only thing is her accent, it was a little hard to understand what she was trying to explain as far as what was in the dumplings. But she did make the wait and order time interesting.
I would go back, for the dumplings because they’re in my budget, hopefully they won”t make me throw up the next time.

I actually didn’t mean to go in here but the moment I walked in and realized it wasn’t Jersey Mikes, the guys handed me a sample to try. I decided to eat here anyway and it was amazing. I had the spicy chicken bowl with vegetables and brown rice and the entire bowl was so satisfying.
I wish this place was near me because I would eat here everyday foreal.
