Saw this place open recently, was hesitant due to not having good BBQ in the area. I was surprised and will be coming back. Everything we ordered was delicious! Wife only liked the Mac n cheese with the sweet BBQ sauce. I greatly enjoyed the BBQ beans and we both loved the smoked cabbage (has a slight kick with the pepper). Pork and brisket were good and not a huge amount of fat either. Finished dinner with their banana pudding. Highly recommend it.
I hope the quality and flavor remain consistent.

We were traveling through the area and did a Google search on BBQ places near us and as soon as we saw a picture of their wings we said, “That’s where we want to eat!” I can honestly say, we were NOT disappointed. We tried wings, pork, brisket, ribs and sausage and the attention to detail and the quality of food was top tier. All the meats came out fresh, juicy and the pork and brisket had just the right amount of bark. The sausage had a great snap to the casing and a complex flavor due to the cheese and jalapenos. The ribs were fresh and not dried out with just the right amount of sauce on them. The unique selection of sides, don’t miss the smoked cabbage and the cooked apples. Over all I would definitely recommend 129 Smokehouse and I would drive out of my way to dine there again!

Great BBQ joint!!! The smoked bologna, brisket and pulled pork was sooooo delicious, tender and flavorful. The baked potato smothered in cheese and smoked chicken was the absolute bomb and the potato salad reminded me of what I used to get up North (NY). Will definitely be back for some more!

My 1st time I did a To-go order bought the three meat combo to taste what they offer. The pulled pork was a winner the brisket could use more smoke flavor and the ribs are very good. HOWEVER THE BEANS WON THE SHOW… DONT SLEEP ON THE BEANS or the Nana puddin 8 out of 10 will go back again

Went in to try, place is quite small, had a strange sour fish smell with very Smokey atmosphere coming off the kitchen. There’s maybe 10 full tables to sit at.
Wasn’t very inviting , the hype of claiming to be the best bbq in East Tennessee is quite far from the truth
many places down here claim to have “best bbq” and are far from,
Todays visit 1/2 rack ribs had the membrane on it yet (like rubber on the back)
also had a very strange taste. Wasn’t sure if some odd season or the bbq but wasn’t appealing , Was for sure fall off the bone. But that’s just from being cooked so long, the Beans seemed to be canned with some bbq sauce and brisket added wasn’t worth a few bites .
Fries were great!!! Can’t mess up fries
Texas toast was great!!! Can’t mess up toast
Water was great wasn’t funny tasting
Also had the brisket which had been lightly smoked if that with zero seasoning. Not even an accidental salt crystal added was ZERO SEASONING !! And wasn’t very warm Almost tasted boiled was so bland, didn’t get through one piece. And I love brisket !!
Potato salad had under cooked potato’s were hard and not very good, and more celery onions and Italian seasoning then potato’s.
The Mac and cheese is white lol and dry, was clearly microwaved . Had zero seasoning as well. Wasn’t good at all! I’m sorry but not worth raving about at all!!
wasted 45$ for the waitress to act like we didn’t mention that we didn’t like it.
Clearly all that matters is having money vs happy customers .

Stopped in for lunch, nice little BBQ spot.
I had the pulled pork with 2 sides. Mac and Cheese and french fries, they brought out Onion rings, which I’m glad they did, even tho the still face me fries. I recommend eating at Route 129 Smokehouse

My wife and I are visiting in the area and went here for dinner. I had a 2 meat combo plate with brisket and a locally sourced sausage with cheese and jalapeño. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich. I really liked the potato salad and corn bit sides I had. The portions were generous and Amber our server was friendly and helpful.
I fully recommend for a good BBQ experience.

129 Smokehouse — wow. I go to a lot of barbecue places, probably more than anybody, and this was tremendous. The brisket? Juicy, beautiful bark, didn’t even need sauce. And I love sauce. The ribs were perfect. The pulled pork — not dry, which is very important.
You walk in and the smell alone tells you they know what they’re doing. Real smoke. Real barbecue. People there were great, very friendly.
Honestly, if you like BBQ and you’re not going, it’s a mistake. A big mistake

We came in with a large group and everyone ordered something different, and every single dish was fantastic. From the BBQ ribs, smoked bologna, nachos, fries, loaded bbq potato to the sides, everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Service handled our big group smoothly and made the experience even better. If you’re looking for great BBQ that’s consistently good no matter what you order, Best Damn BBQ absolutely lives up to the name. We’ll definitely be back
