Anita’s has great fajita nachos and fajitas! The chips are really crispy, and the price is affordable, and the portions are really big. The seven of us had more than enough food sharing 4 things: fajita nachos, dinner sized fajitas, eggs+chorizo, chicken quesadilla. Service is fast and the workers are nice. Sadly there is not enough seats for how popular it is, but it’s a great place to stop by for lunch during a road trip:)

This place is usually great me & my husband always eat here because the food is good, authentic & the prices are great. Today was different I always get the #20 arroz con pollo today they had a whole onion & barely any rice.

Favorite Mexican spot in Charlotte. The staff is incredibly nice and always remembers you. The food is very consistent. I frequent Anita’s at least once a week on lunch for a good reason.

“I’m genuinely surprised this place calls itself Mexican. As someone who is Mexican, I can say this isn’t authentic, and it’s not even good on its own terms. The ingredients taste low quality, the flavors are flat, and there’s no balance or depth. It feels mass-produced and careless, like no one in the kitchen actually tastes the food before it goes out. I gave it two chances. That was generous. I won’t be back, even if it’s free. There are far better options, including fast food chains that at least don’t pretend to be something they are not

100% recommend this place. It is hands down the best Mexican grill in Charlotte. The food was super delicious, prices were reasonable, and the service was wonderful. Adding this to my weekly lunch spot. My husband got the tacos and they were perfection. My enchilada was absolutely delightful and had tons of flavor. Can’t wait to come again and try other items on the menu!!!

This place is so affordable, you can’t go wrong trying many of the different items on the big menu. My only complaint is the menu board doesn’t describe some things like the “lazy” vs. the “crazy” burrito, but the cashier was enthusiastic about describing them, even during a busy lunch rush.
(Sorry, can’t remember the details, because I didn’t end up getting either, but like I said, with prices $3-9, I may try them another time!)
The food was fast and good. Seems like a criteria for hire is having a smooth “announcer voice” to call names as the orders are ready. The tacos are pretty meaty, and the eggs in huevos con chorizo help cut the saltiness of the chorizo sausage.

These are the places that are the backbone of a cities local food scene…. Good quality good quantity good people, small hole in the wall type place. Since I’ve been eating here I don’t go to any other Mexican restaurant to eat cause I always feel I’ve overpaid, never got the same amount of food and or the quality of the food never matches what you can get at Anita’s. That photo is two carnitas tacos!!!

I’ll start off by reiterating the previous reviews. There will be a line at lunch time…a long one. They have some meats already premade in large quantities like the ground beef and chicken. Those 2 ingredients seem to be in a lot of the dishes they serve. If you want a different protein, it’ll be about a 10 minute wait. I appreciated the lady taking my order letting me know just in case I was in a hurry. She was also very nice and answered all the menu questions I had. I also can second the previous comments of the portions being huge. They are ridiculously huge. I was actually leaning towards the crazy burrito until I saw how big it was. I ended up ordering a 3 taco plate and mixed the meats. I got 2 carnitas and one Al pastor. The carnitas were among some of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of tacos all over the Americas. Each taco had about twice the meat of any other taco I’ve ever ordered so the price was justified by the portions. It also came wrapped in 2 corn tortillas. You could easily split each taco into 2 tacos if you wanted to. The tomatillo sauce that came with the tacos was also some of the best I’ve ever had. They only give you one so I’d recommend asking for extra. I ended going back and asking for extra. Unfortunately the Al pastor was dry… really really dry. I’ve come to a conclusion after eating this taco that I’m no longer going to order Al pastor tacos unless they’re coming off a trompa. Everytime I do…I’m disappointed. A little taco shop in acapulco has ruined Al pastor for me because nothing comes close. Normally I’d dock a star but they have an extensive menu and I’d hate to deduct a star for one item when they did everything else so we’ll. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THE AL PASTOR. The tacos also come with chips and salsa. I was so full that I didn’t even crack the bag open. I’ll say I was the only person in the place that didn’t eat theirs so that should tell you something. I’ll definitely be back and maybe I’ll muster the courage to try the crazy burrito.

2nd time here for lunch. I am trying the naked burrito. The service is great, the food is great. They stay busy and they’re fast considering I’m just on a short lunch. I recommend and I will be back again.

Finally authentic Mexican food in CLT. Can’t help but laugh at the people who gave this place a 1 STAR review. Love this place and will be back soon. Keep up the good work!
