We stopped by 12 South Tap Room for after-dinner drinks, and I had a margarita that was very well made. The restaurant has a fun, indie vibe and a great overall atmosphere.
The only suggestion I’d offer is that there was a wall with clutter and t-shirts that felt a bit distracting and took away from the restaurant’s aesthetic. It was cold during our visit, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space, but I’d love to go back in the spring and spend time on their patio.

I ordered the brisket tacos and was very disappointed. The brisket in them was just burnt edges. The other ingredients were fine. My husband had the chicken burrito that was tender and tasty. Service was a little slow initially. We were excited to learn that they had parking, but it was very limited.

I had the field greens salad with grilled chicken. I got the small and it was plenty. The portion was perfect for an entree. I added a side of pico. The chopped onions and jalapeños added just the right amount of flavor. It was delicious

Nice to grab a beer. Sour ale was fabulous unfortunately my burger I took to go just tasted burnt. Overall I would go again but maybe just for drinks.

I am not going to lie; this place surprised me a little. I thought the food would not be flavorful like any other bar food. This place had one of the best burgers I’ve tasted in Nashville called the “The Nashville Burger”. It’s on par with any other GREAT burger in town (not that many). The dessert, nachos, and salsa were good too. They have parking in the back of the store, which is excellent, and the environment is friendly.

Oh. My. Goodness. If you come to the 12 south district and you don’t eat at the 12 south taproom, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?! The food is off the charts. I got the brisket quesadilla (asked for no mushrooms) and paired it with the fat pug milk stout. Ahhhmazing. My husband got the brisket tacos which also had amazing flavor. I wish we were in Nashville much longer so that I could try everything on their menu.

We have been here a couple times and although I haven’t found a dish that I love, I will say that all the food is good and service is great as well. This is a great place for social dining or drinking. Parking is limited but there is parking around back that you may overlook.
