The large dining space is nice and has some patio tables outside too. I’ll definitely stop by next time I’m in the area.
Even though my kids had officially banned me from getting the Cosmo sauce, I found myself in Houston visiting my daughter at college… and suddenly, the siren song of breakfast at Cosmo Eatery was too strong to resist.
I went in for breakfast like a man on a mission. Pancakes? Maybe. Eggs? Sure. But the true reason I was there — the Cosmo sauce — was calling my name like a caffeinated angel whispering “you know you want me.”
I grabbed a seat, trying to play it cool, but the moment my breakfast arrived, I knew I had no shot at stealth. One taste of that magical, creamy, slightly tangy, absolutely life-altering Cosmo sauce, and all thoughts of parental prohibition went right out the window.
I may have even audibly moaned. Possibly more than once. Possibly loudly enough to alert the entire restaurant. But I didn’t care. The Cosmo sauce is a national treasure disguised as a breakfast condiment. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say the aftereffects of Cosmo sauce are best left to the imagination… and maybe a second cup of coffee.
Another reviewer claimed the lime water tastes disgusting, but honestly? I found it extraordinarily delightful — like liquid sunshine with a citrus kick that somehow makes the Cosmo sauce experience even more majestic.
The staff? Unphased. Friendly. Welcoming. Clearly used to seeing grown adults give in to the undeniable power of their sauce. I may or may not have ordered a second breakfast just to get extra Cosmo sauce to-go… and I absolutely regret nothing.
If you ever find yourself near Cosmo Eatery in Houston, take my advice:
Go for breakfast
Ignore your kids’ warnings
Get the Cosmo sauce
Prepare to have your life changed forever
Five stars, no questions asked.
P.S. Dear Cosmo Eatery: I accept full responsibility for my sauce addiction — and for anyone brave enough to imagine what happens next.
