This is a complicated review. The food was great and the counter service was great. But a major problem is doing end of the night cleaning at 8:30 pm when they close at 11 pm. I love a clean restaurant, but I don’t love sitting down to eat my dinner and having the entire dining area undergoing a full cleaning, from sweeping the entire dining area to spraying chemicals and mopping. Close down a section, okay? But it’s disgusting to be sweeping and kicking up everything on the floor into the air right next diners trying to enjoy their fresh, tasty dinner – spraying cleaning chemicals and mopping right next folks eating. We had to pack up our food and exit. This wasn’t a little cleaning of a single table or section, they were going full out on the entire dining area, from front doors to the back wall, even closing and covering the trash recepticals which made putting your plates and silverware away a challenge. Maybe start that at 10:30pm/10:45pm, or wait until after the dining room is closed for the night. Wipe off tables and put fresh trash bags in the cans when needed, but end-of-night scrubbing of the dining area is ridiculous at 8:30 with customers coming in frequently. It’s poor form. Nobody wants to eat with the barf-inducing stink of chemicals permeating the air and floor debris being kicked up from the front to back of the store.

Every time anyone enters the pizzeria, the staff greet me with a smile. They are always friendly and ready to help you build your pizza even with special requests like gluten and dairy free toppings. I really enjoy the sauce with chicken and veggies. I enjoy the crispiness of the crust. It is always enjoyable to obtain the pizza from here because it is the only place I can get my allergy free requirements and it still tastes good!

If you haven’t MOD-ified your pizza at Mod pizza, you’re missing out. My wife and I went out for a late lunch today and each did a build your own pizza. I did a vegetarian with fig finishing sauce and my wife did a meat pizza. They were amazing. Sauce, cheese, toppings and crust were SO good. Let’s just say that we didn’t need a to-go box when we were done as there was nothing left. People were so nice and wished us a good day and really meant it. Let me know your thoughts and experience.

I ordered a mini pizza and a salad. When I got home I realized they had put anchovies on my pizza, which I did not order. I called and they said they would remake it. I drove back to Mod, and the employee was very apologetic about making it wrong, which I appreciated. However when I got back to my car I opened up the remake and saw that it was also made wrong, this time it was missing two of the toppings I had ordered. If I had time I would have gone back again, but I couldn’t wait for them to remake a pizza a third time. There were three people working and only about one other person in the restaurant when I went back. I am not sure how you make something wrong twice, especially since it clearly was not busy in the store.

Great lunch – like a salad bar for pizza! (Also a salad bar for salad). Point to whatever toppings you want and the upbeat, helpful Mod associate makes it happen.

This is a very simple pizza place with lots of variety, fair prices and unlimited toppings! There are about 8 different cheeses and there is non dairy cheese, several types of meats and lots of vegetables, broccoli, artichoke, olives, fresh basil, fresh spinach, and lots more. I have never been disappointed here. They have cauliflower crust pizza and other doughs but my favorite is the mega dough. Furthermore, there are numerous sauces i.e. pesto, tomato, spicy tomato, Alfredo and others and there are special sauces you can have drizzled over your pizzas. This location is in Brighton, Michigan but I have also eaten at Mod’s in Utah and Texas and it is always good. The people are often friendly and outgoing.

Great Mod location. Friendly staff. Being a celiac I have to be stirct with my diet and gluten. Yes it’s not a gluten free kitchen but when I need the once in a blue moon fix if pizza and the whole family is out I will spare my gut and get the gluten free pizza. It’s worth every bite. Love their pizza.

One of my favorite places in Brighton. It’s a buffet so you pay for the size of pizza but then you can choose from different cheeses, meats, and veggies to go on, and you don’t pay per topping, just the size! They also have different drizzles and dipping sauces which is nice. I like the honey spice dipping sauce and the pesto drizzle. They also have gluten-friendly crust. Their no name cakes are fair but I love the ingenuity behind the name (kinda taste like a ding dong). They have reading areas inside and outside. The pizzas are cooked quickly. There’s a lot of drink choices.

Gluten free pizza is diffiult most of the time anyways as a celiac but the gluten free options here are usually satisfying and havent made me noticeably sick, if at all. Mod has its own flavor that has been consistent in my experience, so i come back when a mod is around ‍♀️
