Mary is the sweetest! She was so helpful during the ordering process as it was my first time there. She also went out her way to bring over egg rolls that are rolled fresh in house, for free! I ordered the Shrimp Tempura last night and received I believe the rocket shrimp?? Also I amended my rice wrappers, I asked for no nuts replace with Kimchi. The Pho was delicious, but very disappointed half my order was incorrect, and I unfortunately got their right at closing and didn’t check my items until I got home. Including photos as proof of error.

I’m not big on the food court scene, but the food here is very good.
Of course you know when you’re ordering from a cafeteria style thing and they give you a buzzer to come pick up your food I wouldn’t call it exactly I great service.
Nonetheless food is great the pho and crunch roll is great. I come here whenever I can.
Kind of pricey but then again it’s downtown and very convenient for those in the area.

Late February 2026, I went to Core Plaza for the first time with two friends. I chose UpLeaf for my lunch. I had the Tofu Bowl with rice noodles and corn (as a substitute for edamame) with their peanut sauce. It was really very good – fresh vegetables, warm noodles, and a perfect amount of tofu. The peanut sauces provided really took the bowl over the top, taste-wise. I greatly appreciated the extra care and service the guy behind the counter took with me – I’d forgotten to order a beverage from their ordering screen, (which was quite intuitive to manage), and he went the extra mile for me. I was quite surprised by that level of service…. really exemplary!

Up Leaf is on the ground floor of The Core building with a few other establishments. For a walk up food service counter, their dining area in front of the counter is clean and trendy. You order through their provided touch screen like you would see at some fast food places. What service we received was slow and I had to remind the person filling our order about our drinks.

Stopped in to try Up Leaf Café, and overall it was a decent experience. The Ultimate Pho was definitely good — flavorful and satisfying — but didn’t quite hit that “mind-blowing” level I was hoping for. I also tried the Korean beef wraps, which were just okay. Not bad, just underwhelming — felt like they could have been seasoned or balanced a bit better.
What stood out most was the wait time — the food took a really long time to come out, even though the café didn’t seem very busy at the time. That said, the staff was friendly, and the space was clean and welcoming, which goes a long way. I’d be willing to come back and explore more of the menu — there’s definitely potential here.

Have the beef pho but I ate all of it before I could take a picture. The owners are amazing. I am going back to get the pad Thai. I will take a picture before I eat it all this time the tide tea dessert is amazing. The food is made with so much love I highly recommend the beef pho

I had WONDERFUL experience at Up Leaf! Not only was the food authentic, but it was soooo delicious as well! I ordered a large to have leftovers for later, and it was hard not to eat the whole thing in one sitting! Caera was the one who helped me with my order, and she was amazing! 10/10 service! I got to meet the owner as well, and she was so lovely!! It was my first time eating here, and I’ll definitely be back!

Finally!!! Excellent Asian food in the area! Vietnamese, Thai… My husband had the astounding Beef Pho (finally! Pho in the area! Add the chicken option, please!), and I built my own bowl, which was divine. I will be back on Saturday or Sunday for their Pad Thai, which is pretty much nonexistent in West Michigan! We will be back, again and again! And the atmosphere is just delightful, also.

Fantastic! Mary’s Favorite Roll, and the Trio platter, with Shrimp Tempura and Up-Thai Tea. Everything was delicious! Very filling and satisfying! No kidding the best Crab Rangoons I’ve ever had! WE WILL BE BACK!
