This Starbucks is conveniently located near the Dempster–Skokie station, making it an easy and reliable stop when I’m in the area. The drive-thru line consistently moves at a steady, efficient pace, and the staff are always genuinely friendly and welcoming. Since I typically order through the drive-thru, I am unable to speak about in-store experience. I would expect it to be just as pleasant. In several years of visiting, I’ve only needed a remake of my favorite drink once, and it was handled quickly and without any issue. I’d recommend this location based on my positive experiences.

This morning, around 9:50 am, I arrived at the drive thru intercom and said “hello,” no reply back. I spoke clear to ask “is anyone here,” no answer or reply back. I waited a little, than drove forward to the 1st window, which was open. The Cashier said “did you need something, we usually don’t take orders at the window. But if you have 1 thing to order, I’ll take it.” The nerve! I informed her that no one said anything when I was at the intercom. The Cashier said “we would have gotten to you.” Well how would I know if no one acknowledged me at the intercom. I ordered 2 items, and she walked off. Another person came to finish things off and I had to ask for a receipt twice. That wasn’t the 1st bad encounter, but I hope it’ll be the last.

We were on our way to the Cubs game with the CTA train and noticed the station had a StarBucks and stopped by. It’s pretty much one of the nicest looking Starbucks I’ve been to. It had an old classic cozy look to it and got my drink in less than 5 minutes. Staff were friendly and fast. Highly recommend coming here if you haven’t been.

The staff is very nice and helpful at this Starbucks location, ordered the Cran-Merry Orange lemonade refresher and the blackberry Sage lemonade refresher and they were good and well made. The drive through line was not too busy at all easy in and out service.

I had a very negative experience at this location on December 16, 2023 where a barista (who is also a shift leader at this location) spoke to me in an inappropriate, loud, and aggressive manner embarrassing me in public. I reported the incident to both the store manager and corporate at the time. To make the situation more frustrating, when I returned a phone call from the manager, the barista who had issue with me answered the phone and pretended to be the manager. Because of this experience, and because I know this employee still works there, I try to avoid this location whenever possible. It is sad because I have never had a negative experience at any other Starbucks locations with any other baristas.

3:30 pm and the selection of bakery items are almost gone. The place is dirty and it’s not busy at all. The floor is always dirty and needs to be swept. Worst of all the baristas need training and are not very nice. No apology for forgetting part of the order. We have business meetings here less regularly and went elsewhere but come back a month later to this. Ok, not feeling the glow when we left.
