In Portsmouth, RI overlooking the waters is this quaint, little walk-up seafood and burger dive. Nothing fancy, but the food being served is excellent! Everything is bagged to go, but picnic tables and bar height tables under tent cover are available for dining. Our group mostly enjoyed their orders. The misses were the crab cake sandwich which lacked meat and seemed to have been once frozen, and clam cakes which were like fritters, but without clams. The lobster rolls were very good, though buttered and without mayonnaise. I loved my cup of clam chowder and a small order of lightly breaded fried shrimp. Both were bountiful and filling.

Stopped by Flo’s for some clam cakes and a stuffed quahog. The fiery quahog has a mild kick. Comes with 2 shells, the edge gets a nice crust. I thought it was pretty good. The clam cakes were just okay. Very little clam, mostly dough.

I went in today 5.10.25 easy to order, there’s picnics tables under an open tent, and other tables with seats around the establishment.
I lucked out because it wasn’t extremely crowded or busy. Got my hot + fresh fish and chips and clam cakes within 15 minutes! What a Win! Love this place it’s definitely one of my favorites!!

Been to the Middletown location several times and have had a variety of foods, which were all great. However, here in Portsmouth, I ordered a simple lobster roll(cold version) for $29. For a point of reference, I prefer a little mayo, salt, pepper, maybe a little finely chopped celery, so you could say a minimalistic approach. This lobster salad sandwich was just lobster on a bed of lettuce in a small buttered hot dog roll, zero seasoning. It’s not that it was bad, just less than what it could be

This was highly recommended by many reviews online. However, many of the reviews mentioned that it has gone downhill over the last few years. We chose to take a chance and unfortunately it was nothing special at all. Not only was it expensive but bland to average on taste. The best item we had was the chowder, which is about the only item I would recommend .For any other items I would go someplace else. This is for the Portsmouth drive in location. I can’t speak for the other “dine-in” location.

While in the area ,we came here twice for lunch. The prices are great for lunch, the meal comes with fries, a drink and coleslaw (I didn’t try as it’s not my preference). the chicken tenders & fries are good. The cheeseburger wasn’t too bad but they don’t have pickles there , you pick what you want on your cheeseburger it comes as is and you tell them
What you like on it (ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato’s etc..) and they make as you order. Great spot to sit and have lunch with the ocean view right there. Perfect lunch break.

Chowder, white. Small potatoes. Good amount of clams..NOT thick , which I appreciated. Clamcakes were thin crisped with a nice fluffy inside. Best of both this summer very impressive!!

Lobster roll had one nasty thin piece of lettuce on a hot dog bun with tiny pieces of scrap lobster meat tasteless just splashed with butter mayonnaise on the side. The chowder was like water actually like leftover clam boil Father and the clam cakes were decent size but nothing but dough. That got awful. Lobster sandwich cost 30 bucks. Never again. Will I eat at Flo’s?

Been to this plance more times then i can remember… Drive up to a lovely lil Togo or dine at a picnic tables under a tent or they have a few high top tabels with stools …. or jus go across the street to sit on the wall of the Beach .. spent 150 in total 6 people. Fish 2 large fried scallops, 3 chowder combo ,piece of fish , LG order of fried fish the scallops were a tad over done an the fish was not that great either .. an if you look at my reviewsi do alot of fish n chips from all over i .. i barely ate it shouldhave took picturesof what was left .. USUALLYthis place is best around but this time i was let down .. but ill try to go back before the season is over . Or SOMETHING,

One of the most awful meals we have ever had. Calamari was undercooked and inedible. Fish & chips had no taste and included a very small amount of fries. Lobster meat in lobster roll had a really bad taste. Not to mention the prices at the location are higher than what they advertise online. Went all the way to RI to experience great seafood and instead ended up being very disappointed. Not worth $75!
