Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

I bought breakfast at this location, and there were several strands of hair in my food. I called the establishment and spoke to a manager who did not provide her name. She said that I could have my food remade, but I told her that I would definitely not be eating there. She then said that I could get my money back. However, she didn’t apologize, and she was very rude. She should be coached on providing better customer service in a fast-food industry.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Walked in to redeem a reward and before I could finish what I was saying I was cut off by a tall white women with glasses older lady with short hair. She said “we don’t have the app here”. Very rude and short. I said okay thank you and she said mmmhm. Lol clearly customer service isn’t their strong suit and what’s worse is I believe she was a manager. As someone who has been customer service for 10 years, shame on you.

Apparently this Whataburger thinks it’s above every other Whataburger in DFW.

I ordered the exact same thing I always get, and it was over $4 more than any other location. That’s predatory pricing, plain and simple — jacking up prices just because they’re the first and last stop before the airport. It’s a grimy way to squeeze extra revenue.

It’s not about being able to afford it. It’s the fact that they’re charging so much more than other Whataburgers. I pass four locations on my way home — why would I ever stop at the one that gouges its customers?

On top of that, they don’t even participate in the rewards program, so you can’t earn or redeem points there.

I genuinely hope this location goes out of business, because they’ll never see another dime from me.

This was up there with the worst fast food burgers I’ve ever eaten.

My brother insisted on trying a burger because we were flying back home to Toronto and he said the “Texas” experience wouldn’t be complete without trying a classic Whataburger (the #1 is what we ordered).

Which mad lad in the Whataburger lab thought it was a brilliant idea to just put mustard in the signature burger? It just didn’t work for me.

On top of that, the patty was dry and the bun-to-meat ratio was off (more bread than meat).

I don’t like calling anything trash but yea … the burgers here ain’t it. The only item I would actually consider returning for is the patty melt as I heard so much hype about it online. Definitely NOT a burger though.

I’ve eaten at In-N-Out multiple times.

There’s absolutely no way this place is being put up against In-N-Out for burgers. In-N-Out smokes this chain. It’s not even a contest. I’ll put a double-double, animal style burger from In-N-Out up against anything at Whataburger.

Staff was very friendly though. I bought a couple souvenirs from the gas store while we waited for our order.

Good Whataburger and friendly staff. The dining area is pretty cozy (small) but not a bad place to spend a little time waiting on a flight to arrive.

When the service is great I review them but when the service is poor I can’t wait till rate that too. Thursday September 4 @1:45 pm. Short hispanic lady with glasses in the drive thru “you want a triple medium?” Me? No Large! “Okay triple Large what’s your drink?” Get my MEDIUM fries and ask is this the NEW Large. Her reply? “oh I rung up Medium”. No apology nor ask would you like me redo your order with the large? She just looked at me like I was wrong for thinking I ordered a Large. I just drove off. Ridiculous!

We don’t have this option in St Louis so when my wife and I traveled to Dallas for a wedding, we had this place in mind. Our flight was delayed and we arrived late afternoon. We had just picked up the rental car and left the lot thinking maybe we would see a Whataburger in the way when this place appeared. What timing and of course, the food was good–exactly the way we remembered from the last time we had eaten at the chain in San Antonio, 4 years ago.

Only complaints:

They DO NOT accept mobile coupons.

They didn’t have the Dr Pepper Shake.

Took about 20 minutes in drive through for two burgers.

Good stuff:

Staff was really nice. Location was convenient as it was right next to the rental car center and attached to a gas station
