We used to enjoy ordering out from here but the past couple of months have been disappointing. This will be our last time coming here, we had ordered a large pizza and it was not only significantly smaller than usual, but no sauce on good portion of the pizza, significant over seasoning in concentrated areas, and I dont even know what to say about the cut. The people at the front treat you as if you are a bother when going to pick up an order. This sadly used to be one of our favorite places.

We had a party of 9 eat here on a Thursday evening around 5:30. We were able to call about 30 mins ahead for a table, but no reservations. The parking is very tight. The noise level inside the restaurant is high, so be prepared to talk loudly for conversation. Their outdoor seating may be better if you want to have a good conversation. The food was pretty good and came out fast. It was plated in an appetizing way. The prices are relatively reasonable for what you get. I wouldn’t say it was amazing, hence the 4-star, but it also wasn’t bad.

Our coach booked this place for a team dinner – so we arrived with 40+ people. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us. Let me be clear though – they had thought this out before we ever got there. We had to give our coach our order – they would only take one order…not 15 different families. We had to pay our coach who would then pay the restaurant…they were only going to take one credit card. It was some work on our part – finding a menu (which BTW wasn’t easy and the one I used from Yelp had old prices), texting our order for the family to coach, figuring out what tax/tip and the meal would cost – and then having our coach place the order, pay for everything and then track down who needed to pay more because the prices were different on the different menus we all found. This place needs a website!
Overall the food was good, the service was good considering the size of our group, but some of the food came out painfully slow. A table mate of mine didn’t get his pizza until long after I was done with my sandwich. We got our own drinks from the bar which I am sure helped. There was a dog over by the bathroom that was a big hit with our girls…but I’m not sure why he/she was in the restaurant?
Overall I’d come here again – but it looked like it is busy most nights so you may want to plan ahead. And I think they are only open until 8:30pm.

We ordered ‘three fries’, mac and cheese with bacon, and a burger with lettuce and gluten free bun, along with a bottled soda pop and a draft coke… $90 bill when those items are closer to $60 added together.
We thought the bill was a joke when the server told us the total.. no receipt or tab was provided, they use hand held card readers to take your payment at the table. We either got someone else’s bill, or there was nearly 50% added to our bill. We should have pressed it more, but just paid and left.
Can not recommend this place after being overcharged so heavily for small portions and non alcoholic drinks.

Ate here for the first time a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was also good. We returned a few days later and brought family visiting from town, we ordered pizza and it was delicious. I also ordered meatballs again for the second time and the are very delicious. The place is fairly small so get there early or you won’t get a seat cause it’s all way busy. We will be back

Wow! Tonight was our first time in and won’t be our last! We sat at the bar and Nate took great care of us. Food came out promptly, portions were generous, and everything was delicious. Those garlic hot balls are an amazing creation! Jim, the owner, even came over and chatted with us a bit too. Fantastic experience.

You can never go wrong with a trip to Mama celeste’s. While their backstory is a tragic one, they have risen from the ashes here in the Reno Sparks area and have become an essential and much needed local, not chain or corporate establishment in the Reno Sparks area.
I always enjoy myself immensely when I’m there and I always look forward to going back!

I was going to go here for dinner, but not after how rude the owner is to the people that gave a bad review. I have NEVER seen any owner say LOL to an upset customer. He must be a drunk. It’s really unbelievable. I couldn’t believe how rude the owner was to upset customers. Definitely will not be going here for a family dinner.

1st time there, had great food and great service. Will definitely be back. Gotten 2 appetizers and 2 pizzas. Hot, fresh, and delicious. Atmosphere is pretty cool also played some great music. Very clean inside. Would definitely recommend this place for Lunch or Dinner or both..lol
