Absolutely fantastic food, service, and atmosphere!
The empanadas were the best I’ve ever had…large in size, made with tender dough, and stuffed with flavorful meat and cheese! I had one chicken and one beef, both were excellent! My bowl was full of so many flavors and textures, and had the most delicious sauce drizzled on. Loved the addition of pickled onions, they just really added even more yum to the dish!
Guacamole was flavorful, sweet tea was freshly brewed and perfectly sweetened, literally every single thing was fantastic.
Our servers were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating.
Love the vibe and atmosphere. Very unique decor, wall murals, and lighting. Not the typical Mexican restaurant decor.

I absolutely loved the vibe here. It looks so different than it used to and it’s a great addition to Johnstown. The food was incredible! We had shrimp tacos and chicken bowl and we loved both. The chips and salsa were delicious too! I had a frozen raspberry margarita that was delicious and my husband had a original margarita on the rocks. The prices were very reasonable. They have a great kids menu too. The service was so friendly from the time we walked in the door until we left. They have street parking as well as plenty of parking in the back.

Phenomenal food, we’re so happy to have this restaurant in Johnstown! First, the decor is modern and fun. Beautiful handpainted murals decorate the walls with floral accents and a few black lights to make the murals pop.
They have a lovely selection of cocktails and lots of margarita flavors. Some drinks are served with sparklers or lights which creates a fun atmosphere and vibe.
The food is AMAZING. We loved everything we tried. We got the elote appetizer, quesabirria, fajitas and a burrito. Everything was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

Me & my fiancé ordered from here a few days ago & we are so impressed with the food. I had the burrito & taco combo and I couldn’t stop eating it. My fiancé loved his meal as well (tacos). The food was stocked up with meat and other ingredients, they definitely don’t slack on portions, which we appreciated. We got our food quickly. We’re so grateful that this restaurant is so close to home, we will definitely be back.

They always serve chips and salsa no charge. Ask for the spicy salsa, it’s HOT!!
We order the guacamole with con chicharron as a starter every time. This place does not disappoint!! Every meal at a decent price for what you get and great look to the inside.

Spent a Saturday night here and the food was delicious. It was packed for dinner so ended up sitting at the bar and ordering which was totally fine for two people. The margarita flight was amazing and fun with the lights and sparklers. The chorizo queso was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We had great service and they have a huge menu. We had a party of 5 so we were able to get a good variety of appetizers and entrees. Their food is delicious, so many different tastes. Finally a Mexican restaurant that has flavor.
It’s very tastefully decorated inside and very clean. They serve such fun and tasty drinks.

Food was great and the atmosphere is just what Johnstown needed. I loved the Carnitas (pictured), and my wife got “Jackie’s Filete”. She said she enjoyed it more than the filet mignon she got last weekend at one of the local(ish) high end steak houses!

Excellent food with really good flavor. So many Mexican restaurants lack flavor in the simple sides like refried beans or the sauces, but not here, they put care into everything they serve. Been here twice and both times food was great. We love the vibe and decor, feels more hip and modern. Well done El Rey, there is a reason you are busy!
