Food was excellent and service was fantastic. Stop in for the absolute best sausage gravy you will ever eat, I won’t tell your grandma.

If you’re looking for a clean restaurant with friendly service and good food, well, keep looking. We walked in, and immediately went back outside to leave our coats, since the place smelled overwhelmingly like burned food. The next thing thing we noticed was the ENTIRE front counter was overwhelmed with dirty dishes, that nobody dealt with in the entire 40 mins we were there, despite having 4 employees on the floor. We found the one and only cleared/clean table and sat ourselves. We waited about 10 mins before our waitress came over, and another 5 for our coffee. We ordered the eggs Benedict and a corned beef hash omelette. The food arrived swiftly, 10 mins (we timed it), no complaints there, other than we typically do not expect lunch meat ham on eggs Benedict, but it was edible. However , the waitress did not say one word to us as she plopped our plates down (typically, we would expect the server to ask if we needed anything else, perhaps a top-off of our coffee, which we never got since she never came back). A group sat down behind us, in a filthy booth, and waited even longer than us for the waitress to come over, again, not clearing any of the tables as she walked by at least half a dozen times. In total, since we were timing, the tables surrounding us stayed heaped with dirty plates for over 23 minutes after we ordered. I could completely understand if the place was packed however, there were only 3 tables with people. If the owner ever reads this please be aware you need to get staff that is trained, or train them. This isn’t being picky, please do better. We don’t write many reviews but after leaving in disgust we “smelled” so bad we felt this was warranted.

First time going there, my wife’s first in a long time. The inside is very nice. Looks like it might have been updated somewhat recently. It’s nice to see the cooks station right at the bar.
There was plenty of seating and it was a quarter of the way full. Looked like 1 server, maybe 2. Important info.
Waitress came up and gave us the menus and specials. Asked for the drink order. My wife said water and before I could say Pepsi, she said okay and walked away. She brought me coffee for some reason. Then 5 to 10 minutes later she took our order.
Food came out and was amazing. The homemade country sausage was pretty good. Hashbrowns, toast and pancakes were amazing. We also had a cinnamon bun that was delicious.
We never did see our waitress after that. Stood up and looked for her for 10 to 15 minutes. So just went up and paid our bill and got our to go containers. That was the only bad part. If it was a break situation. Visit your tables first so no ones left without service for that long.

This was on a Friday. We had fried breaded haddock, the other is broiled walleye with garlic parmesan topping. Each were $18 with choice of potato. We were pleased with the food, cleanliness and service. 10-13-2023

We had to wait too long for our food. Waitress not good. She kept ignoring us for other people. We asked for napkins , ketchup and more coffee but had to wait and ask her again. Tried to joke with her and it didn’t work. The food was very good. She told my husband when he went to check out for another girl to take care of him as he was very rude. We always are polite with the staff but it didn’t work with her. Don’t think we will be going back there. Not sure what her problem was as she treated other people nicely.

This establishment had a warm feeling as you enter. The food was very well priced and delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. I had the junior cheeseburger that came with chips, but for $1.99 you can have French fries. I’ll be stopping by for breakfast soon

Shaylee and I recently made a special trip to Zider Zee Restaurant after hearing rave reviews about their cinnamon roll French toast, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The portions were enormous, and the flavors were out of this world.

The friendly service made our visit even better, and I absolutely loved the cozy, small diner vibe. Watching the chefs cook right behind the line, just like at a Waffle House, added to the charm of the experience.

The prices were very fair for the quality of food we received, and I saw so many other mouthwatering items on the menu that I can’t wait to try. I guess I’ll just have to plan another visit soon! Highly recommend Zider Zee Restaurant for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience! ️❤️
