Small confession: I don’t like ramen. But I had a lunch date friend with a friend here, so I was elated to find an entire page of the menu dedicated to curry entrees.
Here’s the short end of it: if you’re on the fence about ramen, you can still have a great meal here.
I ordered the Karaage curry, which came with four chunky pieces of fried chicken between a mound of rice and an impressive pool of beef curry. I love curries, and this was no exception. There’s just nothing like that characteristic smokey, flavor-blasted blend of spices in Japanese curries. On the slight downside, there wasn’t a ton of beef in the curry, but it sure made it exciting when I happened upon occasional bites with meat chunks.
The Japanese iced coffee is a presentation unto itself. A small pourover sits above a cup, ensuring a fresh brew. That drips onto a small puddle of condensed milk while a cup of ice stands ready by the side. It’s a zazzy, interactive process toward a cup of iced coffee that tasted just fine.
There’s a lovely, cozy vibe to this restaurant that the warm, non-hurried service just accentuates. Service was attentive without intrusion throughout. There’s a small, free parking lot right in front, which is certainly a boon in the parking-less void that is this part of Englewood.

A good find ramen place. They have these combo deals and it’s a really good value. Very creamy and rich broth. I got the spicy sesame ramen, I think it could be a tad spicier imo. A good size portion too. We all came in hungry on a cold night and we left satisfied.

This is one of my top five places to go when I’m having a bit of a bad day and need some food to fuel me up. Food is refreshing, atmosphere is very comfortable, the prices are just right and the portions are so filling. Customer service are right on top of it and are very nice!!! 5/5 stars!

If you’re in the area, this place is a MUST. I’ve had a lot of Ramen, and this is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The broth is thick, rich, fatty, deeply umami, the homemade noodles are delightfully chewy, the yakiniku is super flavorful, and you HAVE to get the cucumbers. They’re super good. The space is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the food is all incredibly tasty. You also get a rather large portion for the price, so it’s a good value overall. If I ever find myself in the area, I will definitely be coming back.

Ramen Azuma is very delicious! My dad got the lunch combo and it came with so much food. There’s a lot of seating inside. The parking lot is huge. There’s a lot of things to do in the area so stopping by Ramen Azuma for lunch is a good idea.

my first time here! here’s a very honest review. i ordered the lunch special that includes ramen, chicken karrage, and iced coffee. very good prices! the ramen was pretty good and flavorful! there was a fatty film on the top when served… not entirely sure if that’s normal but i just removed it. the chicken was a texturally strange and was pink inside. unsure if it was fully cooked or not. the service was decent, they were very friendly but wished they were a bit more attentive. overall pretty good, but not sure if i’d travel 30 min again to come back.

I wasn’t impressed with the ramen, and we tried two different ones with different broth profiles. I have had ramen all over the world and I just felt like these broths were WAY too flavorful and overly pungent. It was honestly hard to finish. Their noodles were eggier and not as soft as typical ramen noodles. The bottom of my bowl was filled with cabbage, making the portion look bigger than it was. Service was great and the location is very nice, but I wouldn’t come back for ramen to be honest.

I used to come here very often when I used to live right by this restaurant and enjoyed their food – especially ramen and their combo menus. I was excited to go back almost a year later after I moved but got so disappointed. I have never left so much food when eating out but I really could not force myself to eat my tonkotsu ramen. it tasted so much like….fat. I dont even know how to explain. the broth was so bad. chashu didnt even look or taste like pork belly. I dont think im going back which is really sad.
