I’ve officially been turned off by long drive-thru waits, so I tried to beat the system by dining in.
Only to be deterred (at first) by the kiosk machines no humans taking orders anymore.
But I was determined. On Friday around 1200, after three attempts, I finally ordered my go-to the two Chalupa combo with fries and nacho cheese. Been my favorite since discovering Taco Bell in the ’90s minus the fries back then and it did not disappoint. Came out fast, hot, and hit the spot.
Dining room was packed, bathrooms were clean (huge)
Funny moment: a kid about 12 walked in with his dad. The kid flew through the kiosk like a pro, while the dad struggled just like me. Made me realize… yeah, the kids are built different with these machines.
All in all loved everything. Solid experience.

Food was great at this location as usual but never order through the app.
One slight issue; They prioritize drive thru and in store orders. I placed my order at 10:36 and didn’t receive it until 10:55. Meanwhile everyone who ordered in store got their orders in 5 mins or less.
Whats the point of ordering ahead if you’re going to get shoved to the back of the line?

I love this location!! All of the kids who work here are always so pleasant, they always provide excellent service and I’ve never had a single bad experience going here morning, noon, or night!! I just want to thank all the past and present employees who work at this location… you all are super sweet and do an amazing job everyday!

I went in with my mother, what I wanted was an app exclusive so I submitted my order as we walked in. She ordered from the kiosk. It took TWENTY FIVE MINUTES for me to get my food, and I only got mine after 15 people who ordered after me had gotten theirs, including my mother, who was standing there holding her food for 15 of the 25 minutes. Completely unacceptable, and they even didn’t give me any of the sauces I ordered, or a fork for my potatoes.

The Taco Bell at 6017 Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad delivers consistently poor and disappointing service knowing what fast-food employees are making in 2024 and the hikes in prices that we’ve seen across the state as a result.
I’ve been a member of the opening staff for two Taco Bells in my time. The chicken quesadilla has always been my favorite. This Taco Bell location seems to have a regularly hard time completing two of the main tasks in making a quesadilla, which are melting the cheese and cutting the quesadilla. Almost every single time I order one, the cheese is barely melted all the way and there is hardly any attempt to cut the tortilla into the 4 pieces it should be in. From my experience I know that melting the cheese is as simple as pressing a button on a steamer and cutting is as simple as rolling the cutter across the quesadilla 3 times. Neither of these things being done correctly regularly translate to me, now a consumer, that there is virtually no care being put into any of the food being delivered to the customers and management isn’t holding their staff accountable.
I will be taking my business to another location as of today. I’m paying too much for food in 2024 for it not to be prepared and presented correctly.

Service is always good here. They must do a good job of training their employees. Busy little parking lot in front of a car wash – be careful pulling in and out. People fly down that street. . I sure wish Taco Bell had fries though.

The drive thru employee was so nice, he took service above and beyond. I wish I would’ve glanced at his name to shout him out, but whoever was working Jul 30th at 5pm needs a raise!!! He’s just very nice and had a smile the whole time, the kind of customer service which will keep me coming back!!!
