Lela was a fun bustling spot. The open concept gave it a festive atmosphere, which some could find a little loud. With it being restaurant week, we knew it could be busier than usual. The food was all presented in an elegant way, and the flavors were on point. Some of the restaurant week items are not on their regular menu, so this is all strictly based on one-off menu items. I ordered the braised short rib. The flavor was excellent, but I did feel it was slightly overcooked. My wife had the swordfish which was seared well and flavorful. Overall, we would give Lela a 4/5 with everything tasting really good, but not outstanding.

Restaurant week here was a disappointment, even though the menu looked promising. Restaurant week is normally a showing of the most popular dishes or menu featured items so that diners have the opportunity to try one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert. In this case Lela chose only non-menu items that tasted poorly mass produced for RW, which normally isn’t an issue but none of what we ordered was very good in general. Flavor just wasn’t there with most of the entrees, portions were smaller which isn’t uncommon for MN RW but come on, $45 for a tasting menu, where 80% of it isn’t good, yikes!
We split a regular calamari appetizer while waiting for our RW menus. I had the braised short rib, while the tricolor carrots and mashed potatoes offered some flavor, the ‘braised short rib’ was devoid of it. It really needed some seasoning or salt, there was none at the table, so it was very bland. Everyone that had this at the table agreed it was very mid, flavorless, literally tasted like a crockpot recipe I could do at home, and I am not a cook whatsoever. My friend Lindsay ordered the sword fish and it was TERRIBLE, possibly the worst fish entree I’ve tried in years. The fish was unbelievably fishy and spongey, it gave off frozen fish steak defrosted in the microwave vibes. Also there was no cauliflower puree to speak of, mostly just clam velouté, the spring vegetables were abysmal. There were a handful of peas and a couple of asparagus tips in white sauce. Not an impressive dish, should have never been added to the menu, quality appalling.
Desserts were good, I had the cookie skillet, others got the crème brûlée. All in all I would recommend passing on Lela Restaurant Week, the servers were not prepared for the rush of the event and didn’t even really know restaurant week was happening, we had to ask for the RW menus two to three times. Server also gave attitude when my friend had to return her inedible fish. Not a great RW experience unfortunately!
(Update: my other friend Leah who also ordered the sword fish got violently ill the next day, this is not okay; I suspect food poisoning from the bad fish, I wonder how many other people got sick that night!)

Absolutely amazing restaurant! I have been twice and both times left absolutely satisfied! I am a gluten free girly (MCAS… It isn’t fun) and their attention to GF restrictions is the best I have seen. Their bread is so good! Pasta is divine! The creme brulee is out of this world. The flavors in their sauces is perfection! The wines they paired with my dishes both times were spot on as well. Be willing to spend some money but it is worth every penny!
I don’t have a picture of my pasta without me being a weirdo in it but the crab cake pictures was what I had as an appetizer and oh those flavors could sing!

Nice buffet presentation for Thanksgiving. Lots of choices for entrees, sides and dessert. Staff was excellent: attentive and helpful. Didn’t know at booking the food service was ending at 2:30 p.m., but we had an hour and were not pushed to leave. Price per person still outrageous for a buffet, but actually much more reasonable than MANY other nice restaurants on Thanksgiving.

Service was fantastic, food was amazing, and the atmosphere was quite nice/calm. I can see why the food does cost so much because it’s the best food I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend going here at least one time for the experience of the food and atmosphere.

I think the atmosphere is pretty good and it is definitely a good place in the area for people to gather. Certain parts of the restaurant are darker and there may not be enough light even when it is daytime. The server recommended the meatballs, and I could see why. A picture of the meatballs was also on the website. They were made from pork, beef, veal, and tomato garlic confit, and the overall taste was a great combination of all of those. For both the snapper ceviche and the ahi tuna poke, there was not enough ceviche / poke but a lot of nachos on the side. The heirloom tomato & burrata was a good starter as well. Its taste could be off depending on the person’s taste. To me, it was pretty good. In terms of the dessert, I recommend the chocolate molten cake a la mode. The crème brûlée was tasty as well. Overall it was a fancy place and one to go for special occasions. I would consider it a place that parties of 3 and above can go to when around the area!

This is an incredibly impressive restaurant in the first place, but especially for a hotel. The food was almost perfect (the pictures they have on Google represent the restaurant well), the atmosphere is that of fine dining, the prices are reasonable, and we were blown away. The service a fairly friendly but not as accommodating as one would hope; not a huge deal.

Stayed at the Sheraton about a month back and stopped into the restaurant on a Thursday night. Probably the best hotel restaurant I’ve been to. Food was great and the bartender created a great atmosphere as everyone watched Thursday Night Football. Will definitely stay here again on my next work trip strictly because of this place.

I highly recommend trying Lela’s. If I had been traveling and staying in the hotel, it would be perfect. I attended a meeting in a private room within Lela’s which had a beautiful mural. The food catered in was appetizers. Everything was delicious. As someone who is a local, I’ve been missing out and would be open to trying the full menu. The ambience was great. Tables were private. A wall built of wine glasses was eye catching!

Where do i start we arrived and restaurant seemed to be empty (I was excited we never get a restaurant to ourselves) we made a reservation for 5:30pm friday night…?!?! Beautiful restaurant, great menu everything we received was Beautifully executed wait staff was fabulous. starters: wings (sweet chili) and muscles (in a red sauce). Husband got the steak med rare cooked to perfection puree potatoes with fresh chive and they give a sauce with the steak on the side with four choice salt on a small plate. My meal: shrimp scampi give you about 5 jumbo shrimp cooked perfect, i would describe the noodles to be like and angel hair linguine in a garlic white wine sauce with capers. I asked for saute mushrooms on the side they have decently portioned sized sides shared my mushrooms with the husband. Drinks were Beautifully made and tasted great he likes gin drinks they added rosemary and lemon to his. I preferably like non-alcoholic versions of options the N.A. margarita and N.A. bloody Mary absolutely great. For desert we shared a creme burlee came in a small ceramic cup severed with fresh fruit on top strawberry blackberry and raspberry we’ll definitely be returning best birthday dinner!!
