First time visit last night, won’t be the last!! The place blew us away. Everything was so good. Crawfish meat pie, crab legs, boiled shrimp, potatoes, corn…. All Great spice and absolutely delicious. Try the Cowboy Colada!!! I never would have thought to blend whiskey w coconut but it is my new drink, I just hope I can recreate it as good once we get back to NWA. Now about the service, ask for Kristin! Very attentive but not bothersome, super sweet in offering us another table due to the vent, made wonderful suggestions, and always had a smile on her face. She deserves a raise, she is awesome. This will be our Hot Springs spot whenever we are in the area. Thanks Ward’s and Kristin. Y’all rock!!!!!

This is an outstanding Cajun / Seafood hidden gem in Hot Springs. It is a favorite of the locals. The service here is great. All of the food was delicious. This restaurant is very clean and well kept. You have to try the gator bites appetizer. It is really easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking in their large lot. You dont want to miss this place.

Came down from michigan and My lady and I could not have enjoyed the food more. They do not do it like this up here. Properly fried and spiced food. Giant succulent crab legs, and the fried food? Everything we tried was crispy and packed with flavor.

Crawfish here is as close to or Better than South LA. The seasoning is perfect. We get the boiled Shrimp, Crawfish and Crab legs. Service is always on point.

Our overall experience was about 2 hours. It was very busy and service was slow. We were served our food and had no refills. Food was mediocre at best and lacked season. It was very bland. Will we back…possibly. Is it at the top of our list- no.

Some of the best seafood boil I’ve EVER HAD (and I’ve had many)! Make sure to get some gator for a delicious appetizer (maybe even 2 since our 6 year old ate most of it)! Excellent job

Ward’s Catfish Hole in Hot Springs is WONDERFUL! We went on a Thursday night, and even though Wards is not on a ‘main drag’, and we were there in the ‘off-season’ for Hot Springs, we were impressed the parking lot was FULL! We already knew the food would be great when all the locals and the work crews from the area are present!
The layout of the restaurant is simple, open and spacious—even with the crowd! You could see the kitchen, which I like…and it was clean!
The restaurant is family-friendly.
The tables appear to be built on site, they are wooden and sturdy.
The bathrooms are spacious, freshly painted, and CLEAN!
The FOOD….the fish and crawfish were fresh, cooked perfectly and we got plenty of it.
They offer Oysters, which are not my favorite, but my family raved about them.
The Crawfish are served in ‘mounds’, in the traditional fashion. Our neighbors were enjoying them immensely.
Ward’s Catfish Hole offers a wide variety of beers and they have ‘bucket specials’.
The prices are more than fair considering the quality and portions we received.
Will we return? You bet we will!

Great lil hole in the wall tucked in the country. The inside has a good vibe, painted patriotically with a general store feeling, comfortable booths and a decent sized back room. Lil on the pricey side, oysters are about $19 bucks a dozen (unless it’s around May and they are $1 each!!) and domestic cans are $5, no drafts unfortunately. But it’s worth it as far as crawfish go which are almost $10 a pound- $7 later in the season. The fries are awesome and unique as they are dusted with what has to be corn meal catfish breading- amazing. The smoked sausage has good flavor and texture and is decently priced. As far as the gumbo, I don’t recommend it. It’s watery and lacks that deep flavorful roux you expect from a true gumbo. They use the tiny salad shrimp in it and it just isn’t the right texture or flavor- once I added a few good shakes of the Cajun spice and Louisiana hot sauce that’s on the table it was definitely better. All in all, The staff is great and it feels like a good mom and pop place to kick back and throw down on some mud bugs.

What a hidden gem. We live in a lake house nearby (out of town) and the restaurants are all in town. We happened to drive by this place which is out in no where land. We decided to give it a try from reading reviews online. Wow. Simply wow. We were seated by the server, Britini, who gave us excellent service! She was extremely courteous and quick with everything. We had an order of raw oysters, shrimp and catfish and an order of gumbo. Wow. Again wow. I’m impressed with the food as well. I’ve done many reviews for restaurants but for a restaurant out here it’s a five star and worth a trip from in town to out of town. I will be back for desert and to try out other items on the menu.
Update 3/19/22 .. place is still a nice hidey hole and good food. Service is slower and prices are through the roof. Still a good place.
