The Cecil family will always be proud supporters of their establishment!!!
I will be back to get pizza very soon.
Let me first start by saying I love your pizza. I was craving it so bad this evening. We live 45 minutes away and I can only get it on Sundays when we are in town. Tonight I called at 7:30pm and it rang at least 30 times with no answer. We drove to the restaurant and I walked in at 7:45 and tried to order a pizza and they said no because they were closing in 12 minutes. I understand that it would have been tight getting it done, but if they would have answered the phone at 7:30 they would have had plenty of time. This is not the first time this has happened.
Just a side note. We used to go with friends there almost every Sunday night (large party) but we can’t do that anymore due to you closing so early. I can imagine you would lose money staying open until 9-930 or even 10. Just a thought.
I got the Italian grinder as it was delicious the first time around, figured I’d stay with what I liked as I wasn’t sure if it was the same business as the previous location. Fortunately it was. I had a great sandwich and even got to see kids celebrating in the dining room what looked like a championship victory. It brought me back to days past as a young kid. So I had a nice time. Would recommend.

@Julie Achenbach. I was writing my own review and saw your personal 1 star slop.
As a recent visitor to this community, I find your review not only disappointing but emblematic of a troubling world view that places personal convenience above basic respect for working people.
You claim to “love the pizza,” yet your affection seems conditional on the staff bending over backwards to accommodate your every whim, regardless of their posted hours, their workload, or their right to close on time like any other human being. You called at 7:30 and allegedly called twice a minute for 15 minutes until you marched in demanding a pizza be prepared. I can’t imagine living a life so detached from how regular people and businesses operate that I would behave like this.
This restaurant didn’t fail you. You failed to respect their boundaries. You failed to consider that those employees, who likely work long shifts on their feet, deserve the dignity of a timely closing and the ability to go home to their families. Your review reads less like feedback and more like a child’s tantrum thrown because the world didn’t rearrange itself around your gluttonous craving.
And your “side note” about bringing in a large party every Sunday. Spare us your thinly veiled threat. You’re seriously suggesting that your patronage should dictate their business hours, as if your presence is a gift they should reorganize their lives around. That’s not community-minded. That’s narcissism.
Restaurants are not vending machines. They are run by people who deserve compassion, not condescension. If you truly cared about this establishment, you’d respect its staff, its hours, and those who work there. Instead, you’ve weaponized a review to shame them for not sacrificing their time for your convenience. All so some assistant manager makes you feel important with a facebook replay. Pathetic.
Your pizza craving is not more important than someone else’s right to rest. If that is a dealbreaker for you, perhaps the problem isn’t the restaurant, it’s your embarrassing perspective.
Stay miserable.
Try the Italian grinder.
