Went here for a bridal shower and it was very nice. Had our own room and service was great. We had salad and pasta family style. Then we had a choice of three entrees and I had the NY strip. I asked for rare and that is what I got. It was a wonderful event and I was impressed. We had some alcohol and they made a great espresso martini

Been coming to Barnyard for pretty much forever. Spend countless hours playing volleyball on the sand courts. Mike (the owner) is always so welcoming when he sees us and he and his staff go above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience there.
The food is great, my go to is the salmon and it never fails to satisfy.
Have also come here a few times for more formal events and service/atmosphere is top notch.
Not a lot of places you can go to for both a week night out and upscale event. But they manage to do both equally great!

I had my daughter’s Sweet 16 at the Barnyard in September and it turned out perfectly! There were two rooms to choose from but the smaller of the two worked best for us where we had about 55 guests. The staff let me in a little early to set up and were more than accommodating when I requested the use of tables for her 16 candles, a candy bar, etc. They even offered suggestions on what worked best in the past and helped organize everything! The chef was kind enough to work with me regarding the buffet being put out at a certain time to accommodate an important guest that was going to be late. Service was wonderful, food was excellent and the room looked beautiful. Absolutely recommend for your next event!

Super cozy place! I was so happy to sit by the fireplace! The service was excellent. We got there before the dinner rush so it was nice not to have to wait. The meatloaf was delicious. My husband’s Flounder was delightful and just the meal he needed. The portions were a good size. We were full when we finished. Anthony the bartender, hats off to the Red Sangria!! Very well balanced taste and just right to feel right!! The appetizers were good, the vodka sauce had a really good flavor. Go with an appetite cause the food will be too good to stop and the portions are well balanced for a hungry appetite.

We had our wedding at the Barnyard on October 9th and I truly cannot say enough about how amazing this venue was! Newly engaged folks – do not sleep on this venue! Every single thing was amazing: from the staff, to the food, the dessert, the room, just beyond expectations. The food in general was out of this world. Cocktail hour was incredible and offered so many choices. We opted for a buffet for dinner and it truly was spectacular; the food was plentiful, high quality, and delicious. Our bartenders were absolutely amazing and accommodating; Anna our Maitre D was attentive, kind, and looking out for us the entire night; Mike the owner as well as Anna were both a joy to work with throughout the whole planning process. I wish I could go back and do it a second time! We are looking forward to going back to the restaurant to celebrate our future anniversaries! Thank you so much to everyone at the Barnyard for making our wedding the best day ever, we will never ever forget it ❤️

Very nice atmosphere especially sitting outside. The service if the staff was excellent. Friendly relaxing and quiet away from street noise. Great place for a group party. Only criticism is a limited menu. They should offer a more extensive menu. Still very enjoyable.

The Carriage House is Totowa ‘s own hidden gem. The food is spectacular and the menu is not only reasonably priced but the portions are great and the food is prepared and on your table super fast. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and when the weather is nice their outdoor area can’t be beat. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Scouting for the Food Network App for the Best Burgers in NJ. Wish I knew about this place. You would only know about it if you have been to it before. Hidden back off the road with a more different style of a building. They have seating both inside and outside with excellent service. The Burger was outstanding and I would definitely go back again soon.

Barnyard&Carriage may be known by locals but not as much by visitors. It’s a great place for lunch and dinner. The food is delicious and staff is kind. If you haven’t eaten here before it’s well recommended.
