The first time we went here was great. The food was good and the staff was kind, however we just left there after 20 minutes or more of waiting. We were next behind a party of 6 that had walked in right before us. They were seated and the man seating people and filling drinks asked who was next. We said we were after them. He picks a party of two who had just walked in and sat them. Okay totally fine maybe he misheard or didn’t hear. Another party walked in and then another. He continued pulling the parties that had just entered and we sat and waited. This happened 7 times, all 7 parties arrived after us. Now most of these were older couples so we were willing to continue waiting with our 11 month old and 4 year old because they were doing fine with waiting. I went to check out the food however and found it was nearly gone and they were talking about being out of it. We ended up just leaving. I’m not sure why this happened or if we did something wrong. They did seem to be “regulars” and this would have only been our second visit but we more than likely won’t be back to become “regulars” because this experience was pretty upsetting.

Haven’t been there for a while, kind of fell off my radar, but if you want a great meal for a great price you must go. The fried chicken is perfectly prepared, crisp on the outside and moist inside. Vegetables are fresh and perfectly seasoned and the freshest salad I have had. Don’t forget the homemade dessert that is included along with a drink for only 12.00.I will definitely be back soon! I have been back just about ever Wednesday since I posted and it just keeps getting better with each trip.

I noticed the good reviews have some age to them so maybe there have been some issues recently. We dined here with friends on Oct 15, 2023. I emailed the restaurant after our disappointing visit but they did not reply. We made numerous trips to the food room and there was barely any food. The first trip back we each got a piece of chicken. There were several trips where we got nothing at all. We eventually got a little bit of mashed potatoes and some beans. We got seated right away and were there for an hour. All of the pictures online show much more than what they had that day. There was never any cornbread, and only one small pasta salad. We asked the server if there would be more food and he said “I hope so”. But there wasn’t. Yet we were charged full price. It was our first and last trip.
