Outstanding first impression! We’ve been hoping for a suitable sub for other places that are more than an hour away. Crazy Cajun fits that bill very nicely! The Fried Alligator was excellent! I opted for the Shrimp Jambalaya, adding sausage ($5). OMG, I was able to eat about 20% of the plate! Rebecca gave great service, checking on us regularly. There were some waits, to be seated, then for additional service. We have found our new Cajun favorite!

Everything was perfect from the hostess to the final bill. We started with the boudin balls. Now I don’t know if I can go back to regular boudin. We ordered a variety from the menu from the mushroom swiss burger, 1/2 lbs shrimp, and the shrimp po-boy. I had the jalapeno catfish. Of course I had to try a bite of them all. My favorite was the jalapeno catfish. Thick catfish fillet wonderfully battered and NOT overcooked. Most, tender and flavorful. Not too pricey. I am looking forward to going back and trying the crawfish and the Ribeye. BRB and I will bring friends.

While visiting family in mineral wells we decided to try this place after reading some reviews. The menu was confusing, is this a BBQ restaurant or a Cajun restaurant. We came for Cajun flavors and we were disappointed. We got the boudin balls for an appetizer and we felt like it could have used some more spicy flavor. It tasted just like a fried rice ball. I got the jalapeño catfish which the jalapeño flavoring comes in the form of blended jalapeños in a wet sauce you pour over the fish. I opted not to make the fish soggy and the fish was very good. Sweet potatoes fries were good and the white cheddar Mac and cheese was more on par with velveeta box Mac and cheese with garnish. My husband got the cajun fried steak which comes with andouille gravy. Again everything was under seasoned the steak itself was lacking flavor and the andouille gravy was runny and just missing something. He got the sautéed veggies and corn. Out of everything we ate the sautéed veggies had the most flavor. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because our waitress was very good.

A few of the fried gator tails were chewy. Cheddar biscuits were very tender but needed a little more flavor. Hubby really liked the Cajun fried steak. I had the blackened chicken Alfredo and it was very good

After only being open for less than a week, Crazy Cajun is hands down some of the best food Mineral Wells as to offer. If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The food here is absolutely delicious! We went there for Mother’s day and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The servers and new owners are such a pleasure. Highly recommend!!!

The food was amazing and our server Lyric was awesome, she was super helpful and very attentive although it was busy she did manage to be attentive a greater majority of the time!! 10/10 we will be coming back, my husband’s burger looked delicious and was. My catfish platter was delicious, and the bread pudding is the best last minute decision ever!

Everything was amazing! Thomas was an awesome server and took great care of us. Our group of 9 enjoyed the crawfish, shrimp, ribs, and of the course the Hungry Cajun meal. We throughly enjoyed our time here and will be back!

Food was excellent. The jalapeño catfish is to die for! Oysters are the perfect size and tasty. And our server Tommy was very attentive to our table and made sure we had everything we needed. Great service from him and his attitude was infectious. We will probably ask to sit in his area when we return. Service like that is so refreshing.

We visited this restaurant on 5/14/2024. Food was OK but our service was amazing from our server- COLE. Cole was put in the uncomfortable position of asking us to take the meal we had bought for our autistic child at a local fast food restaurant to our car. I explained I would be happy to, but it would be at the cost of us leaving. (our autistic child has food and texture aversions – when he finds something he will eat it is the ONLY thing he will eat) Cole told his manager this and we were allowed to stay. They advised that their menu had comparable items on the their children’s menu and I offered to explain to the manager that it didn’t. Not all Chicken Nuggets and Tenders are the same and our child likes the food from the other restaurant because it is the same every time and sadly has been for over 40 years. I get the policy of no outside food, however at the table next to us they had allowed a cake to be brought in….. How was that different? They serve a COMPARABLE dessert…. Also to be clear we ordered a drink for our child and both of us. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. It wasn’t about the cost of the Kids meal, it actually would have been cheaper for us to order his meal there, it was about how we keep our child regulated and allowing us the opportunity to eat out at a restaurant. OH BY THE WAY – DID I MENTION THAT COLE WAS AWESOME!!! He worked very hard to try to build a connection with our child and make him feel welcome and included in our meal. ***Management could take notes from him!****
