Every Single time I visit Chicken Shack in Ypsilanti, I have the best experience! I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner with roasted potatoes and coleslaw and a 6 piece chicken bites with fries for my grandkids. The food is super delicious, the store is extremely clean and the staff is always friendly and welcoming! Im so happy that I have another Chicken option to choose from because Chicken Shack will always be my 1st choice! Thank uoi chicken shack for always ensuring my order is correct and complete! Fresh hot delicious food. We just moved to the area and are looking for local fried chicken places. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich deluxe meal. Also have had 8 piece meal shack pack previously. Always comes out crispy and piping hot, however stays juicy, not dry at all. Their portions are also generous. Staff are very friendly, patient, and quick. Area very clean. There is enough for seating for 8 people only at a bar style seating, otherwise no other sit down table available. Ample parking. Will definitely come back! They also have catering available, I grabbed a menu for when we host parties in the future. Will update review once we try the catering as well.

I came here instead of going to the Popeyes across the street based on the ratings alone. I’m glad I did. Chicken Shack has a MUCH better atmosphere as the employees actually seem to want your business.
I would highly recommend this establishment over other choices.

We had a large order and a bit of a wait time. No problem. That’s the definition of “made to order”.
The manager added an order of onion rings, Cole slaw and two small drinks as an appreciation/comp.

Food was great and a decent price. Their spicy bbq sauce is awesome. Its actually spicy unlike most places. I had the rib meal with potatoes and onion rings.

After nearly 5 hours of traveling with teammates, I was looking forward to a good local meal. I ended up using UberEats, and my meal was delivered quickly at a hot temperature. The breading was unique but very good. I thought the sandwich was just ok. It doesn’t do well in the fridge overnight, so keep that in mind. I ordered extra butter with my meal, which i used with the tasty potatoes. The coleslaw was amazing as well. The sides were the real stars of the show. Even the pickes seemed to be made in-house. This was such an unexpected gem, I’d love to try more. The prices were so reasonable for the amount of food you get.

On Saturday 10/12/24 visit to Ypsilanti chicken shack, location. Chicken was over cooked, almost too hard to chew. Potatoes were close to being the same seemed not fresh like used old grease. Now those green beans were definitely straight from the can I personally had to put in a sauce pan and cook for approximately 10 minutes. I live almost 15 minutes away from Ypsilanti location in Willis MI. After calling store was told by Jen mg to bring items back for a $5.00 discount WHAT ” | have pictures, unacceptable then she stated we can’t refund for everybody how dare insult my intelligence!!! Finally, I asked about the owner whom she said was John and he would be in on Tuesday at 11. That’s who I could follow up with, terrible customer service!!!! I’m going to take up my complaint with him

Was my first time at a Chicken Shack location. The young gal at the front counter was very welcoming and nice. The bathrooms were also very clean. Food is delicious, but it’s a very once in a while type meal as it’s a bit greasy and quite salty. The hot n’ spicy sauce is delicious. Overall very good experience.

My food was greasy and nasty, I was sick all night. I had the two piece snack with potatoes and food was drenched in that butter they use for potato’s. Chicken wasn’t even crispy. They also need to wear hair nets. Especially the cooks in back.
