I got a mushroom and Swiss sandwich. She made us a drink. That was absolutely amazing but the sandwich was very dry. The Parmesan garlic fries were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was really nice. Felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves. I just wish the burger was better, but overall not a bad experience.

Stopped in on January 26 with a wedding party of 16 people. Had called about a week prior to see if they could accommodate the party size. They said yes. We called a few days before the date as a reminder that we were still coming, also called the day before as well as the day of before we showed up. They had tables moved around for our party to all sit together. All of that was good.

We had 2 waitresses trying to take orders. It was very slow from what we could see. There were only a handful of people inside when I went in. We got our drinks after a bit of waiting, no big deal. Had plenty of conversations going to keep everyone busy.

After a while some of the appetizers came out. One which was macaroni and cheese bites. After a few bites found they were still frozen. They got resent back to be fixed.

The food started to come out, not all at once which is understandable with the size of our group. Some people were eating, some where still waiting. It all made its way out.

One person ordered the battered fish. Took a couple of bites and found it was completely raw still. Followed that up with another person eating a hamburger and found a hair in the food. Needless to say those 2 people lost their appetite and didn’t want the issue fixed as they were no longer hungry with what they found.

The waitress did take those 2 items off the bill.

The reason for the review is the fact of us calling over and over for days ahead to make sure they could handle the party size. It was 16 people. The cook definitely could not handle the size. If the cook couldn’t handle 16 people I can’t imagine them handling a busy day. This cook definitely needs more training on how to properly cook and care for food.

I wrote to hurricanes themselves and have not had 1 return call about what happened. I guess the owner isn’t worried about how the visit went since they didn’t give any communication about what happened either.

Beware of how big of a party you bring and also what you eat is the take away from our visit. Its ashame that no one has tried to contact me yet, it’s been weeks.

Janet & I went to the Hurricane Grill yesterday afternoon before hitting the Riverwalk for an after dinner stroll.
As expected, the menu was a bit pricey. My wife ordered the Hangover Burger, and I had the Smothered Burgerito. With the first bite, the prices started looking a lot more reasonable. Our food was superb!! Absolutely delicious.
Janet is notoriously hard to cook a burger for, so when she told our waitress that hers was done to perfection, I knew it HAD to be good!
We will most definitely be dining here regularly.
I highly recommend the Hurricane. The menu has something for everyone.

This was our second visit to Hurricane Wings & Grille, and unfortunately it will be our last. We were looking forward to a good meal, but everything we ordered came out burnt or poorly prepared. The grilled wings were charred, the burger with bacon and onion rings was burnt, the fries were fried extremely hard, and the coleslaw had a sour taste.

We explained the issues to our waitress—who was very polite—and she informed us that the manager was actually the one who cooked the food. That made the situation even more disappointing, because a manager should know better than to serve food in that condition.

They took a small amount off the bill, but we were still upset and chose to leave and eat elsewhere. We still tipped the waitress well, as none of this was her fault. We ended up going to Hibachi Express for a proper meal.

This experience was a lesson learned about choosing quality food. Unfortunately, we do not plan on returning here again.

At the last minute we changed our plans for dinner and choose Hurricane’s but choosing to sit “inside” for the AC was a blessing and a curse. Yes, we have AC but within 5 minutes of sitting this place came alive with “all” the outside tables filled an it really put a strain on the only 3 Waitresses working that day. We watched as our Waitress whizzed by over and over without giving us a glance. I waited for a Pepsi refill throughout our meal. We had issues with our order which “all flats” (that we paid extra for) weren’t and then my order of Wings had only “2” flats of 10! It took forever to get our orders fixed as we watched (and heard) the Kitchen interact with the Waitresses, while everyone was in the “weeds” (a Restaurant term for being so behind you can’t see through the weeds to the end)! Anyway, looking at the Restaurant the inside here is deceivingly small but with outside tables. They also had the side Parking Lot closed off because they were having a Classic Car event. It was cool to watch the different Cars pull in! We will return for another try!

Went for dinner, ordered shrimp and they were fried until rubber and burnt. Cocktail sauce was frozen. Asked for new ones and was told that they could not make them to be not burnt. What? You can’t make my food not burnt. Ok. Won’t be back

We have visited this hurricanes twice now. Once outside and played trivia with others which was fun and recently just decided to go last minute and ate inside. Very clean and the staff are great. Food is good and I have no complaints honestly. Guess my only gripe is the prices but I think the days of a $10 burger are over…temporary hopefully…and we have entered the $15+ burger at restaurants. I can’t remove a star due to the prices bc it’s everywhere now. If you are looking for good “step above” bar food…some tvs…beers all for a fair current price then I recommend you go. The building architecture is nice too. I in fact recommend this one in particular.

4 years later we decided to give this place a chance again. Once again, they were terrible. (Except Jessica, she was very nice and apologetic about the cook). We ordered X floater wings, ($71 worth mind you) they weren’t cooked enough so I asked if they could be cooked a little longer. The cook made a BIG deal about it, mind you I’m in the dining room and could hear it. Neat. When I got our wings, they were burnt. See the photo. We got a refund but this place just sucks. The owner needs to get it together.

Unbelievable. I tried ordering online for pick up and the site said they were too busy for online ordering. Offered me tomorrow at noon. So I decided to call and place a pick up. 21 minutes on hold!! We tired too call on another phone to see if they would answer and it just rang. Found out they only have one line. We decided to drive over the their location to speak to the manager about it. She was very apologetic and said she would hug me… 1. I don’t know you and seriously a hug?! Can I eat a hug? NOPE! 2. CORONA?! The woman who answered the phone told the other lady there was an order twice, but she couldn’t take her because she was leaving. We walk in and she’s standing at the bar socializing, bag in hand. You can’t be a team player and take the order for your team?! They should be mortified at this behavior.

We went to Lefty’s instead and as always they are wonderful.

They were under staffed, food was cold .We had four people and food came out in 10 min intervals. Dog running around the patio jumping on tables. Tables were dirty. Will never go back.

What a embarrassing experience. Our food came out wrong. The boneless wings were inedible both times (we had them refired only to come out worse.

There is no staff present, no management that I could see.
