Great food especially the backyard burgers and pizza! Fries are great here too. The wait staff is top notch, special call out to Caiden all around and Kendra tonight. Very nice atmosphere, best of all the informal restaurants in Lima. Best of all locally owned and operated. There is a reason it has been around all the way back to 1965!

I ordered from the Beer Barrel on Harding Highway and was pretty disappointed overall. Their online ordering system is extremely limiting, and when I tried to call in an order instead, I was left on hold for nearly 10 minutes.
I will say, the customer service in the drive-through was very friendly, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the pizza itself was the biggest letdown. The crust was so excessively thick that it honestly tasted like eating a loaf of plain white bread, completely overpowering the rest of the pizza.
I’ve had much better experiences at the Dixie Highway and Market Street locations, which are far superior in both quality and consistency.

Had a great experience at Beer Barrel! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the service truly made the night. Our waiter Caiden was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu. He checked in at the perfect times, made great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. You can tell he really cares about providing great service.
If you’re coming to Beer Barrel, definitely ask for Caiden—he helped turn a good meal into a great experience. We’ll absolutely be back!

I will start with the greatness…yes, we will be back! Our waitress was super! She was so kind, cheerful and helpful.
Our food was SO good! My mom and I shared a plate of most delicious Pulled Pork Nachos- when i asked if it would be enough for 2 people she said,”oh yes! Enough for 3-4 people really.” It was piled high with a ton of meat! And yes, we took what we couldn’t eat, home with us.
My Dad got the lasagna. He loved the salad and when the lasagna arrived it was piping hot. Dad said it was meaty and the marinara sauce was so good. He could only eat half of it so the rest also went home with us.
So, for the not so good….When we arrived, my older parents (Dad with a walker)and myself were greeted by a woman who didn’t smile and we were welcomed with “How many?”. Seeing that my Dad was using a walker she took us to a large booth across from a table of people, who respectfully, got up and pushed in their chairs, so my Dad could get thru. I looked and realized we would’ve had to step up on a ledge and slide across the seat (Know your customer). So, I knew that wasn’t going to happen. When I asked her where was he to put his walker? And could we sit at a table she said, “oh!” and walked us back to a booth on the end, and asked, “how’s this? He can put his walker behind the booth”. I told her a table would be better. So she sat us at a table beside a couple who ALSO used a walker that easily fit between the two tables.
By this time the “hostess” didn’t seem to happy with us. She sat our dripping wet menus down and walked away.
I understand she could’ve been having a rough day, but have a little compassion and be grateful and kind. Appreciate the fact that you can walk and not have to worry about steps or scooching your behind across a long seat. If your guest is handicapped ask if a booth or table works best. And if they say table, don’t say, how about this booth.

Grabbed a to go order. The drive thru pick up went really well and had no issues. Realized when I got to where I was going they did not include a fork. Did not like how they added the salad dressing to my to go order. You would think if it’s to go you would put it on the side. The pizza though was really good.

The pizzas vary. Depending on who’s making it. Not consistent. The chicken breast on they’re Cobb salads is terrible. It’s a hard, frozen then microwaved dry, half hard bad tasting breast. Which almost ruins the whole salad. I’ve tried three times over a few months and those terrible chicken breasts were always the same, very NOT good piece. Apart from that, Beer Barrel is great. And they’re Cobb salad has so much potential apart from microwaved dollar store chicken on top.

4.8 Excitingly impressive atmosphere coupled with a full manicured menu providing choices you’ll find satisfying! The meal was delicious, hot and delivered timely. Gluten-free options available. Libations range from top shelf to an large draft beer selection. Drive through beverage store!
