I had a very disappointing experience with Jason’s Deli in Abilene, and unfortunately it was bad enough that I won’t be ordering from there again. We placed a company group order, and from the start everything felt disorganized. Multiple items from our order were missing, which wasn’t discovered until the food was already brought back and everyone was ready to eat. Missing food in a group order is a major issue, especially when people are counting on everything being there.
The food itself was a huge letdown. For the price you pay, the portions are extremely small. The quantity does not match the cost at all, especially when ordering for a group. It felt like we paid premium prices for cafeteria-level portions. Even worse than the portion size was the taste. The food was bland, poorly seasoned, and honestly not enjoyable. Nothing tasted fresh or made with care, which is surprising for a place that markets itself as a quality deli.
The value just isn’t there. With prices this high, you would expect accurate orders, decent portion sizes, and good flavor at the bare minimum. Instead, we ended up with missing items, mediocre food, and frustration. When you’re feeding multiple people, mistakes like this become even more noticeable and disappointing.
Overall, Jason’s Deli in Abilene failed on food quality, portion size, order accuracy, and overall value. There are far better options in town for group orders that won’t leave people hungry and feeling overcharged. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
Picture included : $13 dollars chicken wrap.
The whole order was 175.91
-Negative 10 stars rating, very disrespectful.

My favorite deli by far in Abilene which is why I am a regular. The customer service is stellar, like they really know how to treat customers and they hook you up with that military affiliated discount as long as you show proof. I like the heated club sandwich and chewy chocolate chip cookies. The self service chocolate/vanilla swirl or or chocolate or vanilla ice cream is free is as long as you make a purchase. They offer an all you can eat salad bar with all kinds of food items, but mainly fresh salad. I typically get the chicken pot pie soup. It comes with this unique soft doughy bread that you can use to dip and eat along with the soup. Sometimes I get the Reuben pastrami sandwich which is another go-to of mine on the menu. You can get chips with any of the specials. They have different kinds of “managers specials”. You can choose from different portion size sandwiches and soups. I typically get the baked lays. The food is always fresh and they’ll get you in and out of there pretty quickly. It’s never really too crowded when I go. I never plan to go. It’s usually a random decision. Like literally a pop up. See ya when I ya!

CELIAC ALERT! I just wanted to give a huge thanks to the team here. This has become our regular Saturday lunch spot because they do so well to accommodate our son that has Celiac’s. Last Saturday we brought our own GF ice cream cone for his dessert after eating, not thinking twice about it. We were absolutely blown away when we came in the next Saturday and saw that they had added GF cones. I know every person with Celiac’s reacts differently but this has been a safe place for us and we are extremely grateful to the staff here!

I had the manager’s special. The turkey wrap was so good! All of the veggies were so fresh and the avocado and turkey were delicious! I had the fruit cup for my side and the blue corn chips with salsa. Everything tasted amazing! The restaurant was very clean and the staff were all kind and helpful! We left feeling full but not a yucky full since it was so much healthier than our usual options.

Salad bar is back, very clean and as good as ever. It was so nice getting to make my own salad again. Selections are great.

Fresh, clean salad bar with tons of toppings—no wilted greens. California Club was stacked: turkey, bacon, avocado, and Swiss on a flaky croissant. Fast service, fair prices, and free ice cream sealed the deal. Solid lunch spot with great value.

Fresh, quality food. Salads, soups, sandwiches, stuffed potatoes. Decent variety. The salad bar is probably the best in town. Clean restaurant and prompt service.
When are yall gonna FIX THE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM though??? Hasn’t it been down for a month?

Arrived last night at 910. Door and internet say they are open until 10. There were maybe 5 tables that were not already cleaned up and pushed to the side. They were cleaning the store as if it was closed. I am sure my experience made my salad a little sad to me I will add a picture but when I think Jason’s deli I think big delicious salads. Not what I got. We watched them take the soup from a bucket sitting on the rolling cart and then stick it in the microwave. The entire experience left a lot to be desired

People hands go on the containers of ranch and then they put that directly onto my food. Disgusting. If that’s how they want to package Togo orders, I won’t be ordering anymore. Edit: tried ordering again and there some foreign thing in the food
