Stanley’s Famous Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, MI, is a great place to grab a casual bite. The diner itself was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. My server was very nice and efficient, taking my order promptly. I opted for the Turkey Club with fries, and the food arrived in just 10 minutes.

The sandwich was delicious, with tasty turkey and fresh toppings. The fries were perfectly cooked as well. Overall, the food was good and reasonably priced. While the menu wasn’t extensive and lacked some classic diner staples like open-faced sandwiches, I still enjoyed my meal.

Stans Restaurant….where to start. In old town Mt. Pleasant sits this quaint little restaurant situated in a tenement next to the Broadway theatre and near the end of Broadway St. My wife and I walked into Stan’s, and it was like we were transported into a Norman Rockwell scene. The people and staff were very friendly, and we were seated right away to my amazement. I ordered egg breakfast and my wife the biscuits and gravy. Both dishes looked wonderful and tasted even better. The home cooking slogan on the wall is true to its calling, It’s excellent food. The home-made bread is some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the country hands down, excluding my mothers of course ☺️. I wanted to buy some loaves but they didn’t have enough available. I wish this place wasn’t 3 hours from me as we would frequent Stan’s daily. Kudos to the owners for having the vision to create such a wonderful staple for the community.

Best old school greasy spoon diner in town. I loved away 12 years ago and had to have breakfast here when I brought my family back for a visit. The only thing I think the did wrong was to discontinue the Glorious Morning Muffin!! It was the best! They still have other muffins and cut them in half vertically and grill them on the griddle, which is the best way to enjoy a muffin in my opinion!

The kind of place that won’t do take out orders on the weekends because of “short-staff” what ever that means. Oh well thats fine I suppose. But they will create arbitrary policies like denying you service if you ask them to serve you at the table and then ask for a box so you can package it up yourself and take it with you… again, because they’re “short staff” … its just always something with this place it seems. They remind me of the kind of people that would deny an adult the ability to order from a kids menu because “Sir, you’re not a child”…

First time going here, prices a little higher than what I expected but the proportion was large, so it’s a trade off, I had a number 4, it was ham steak, American fries, homemade toast, 2 eggs, food was very good and I couldn’t eat everything so got a to go box. If I’m in the area again and hungry for breakfast, I’ll definitely go there again.

Ok, I normally don’t write reviews but I picked Stan’s for a quick breakfast. Never eaten here but have visited Mt Pleasant many times. Highly recommend, food portion awesome, friendly environment. Will stop by and visit again.

This is an excellent diner-style breakfast spot with exactly what you would expect from a home town hole-in-the-wall spot. Favorite place to go on sundays for some eggs, toast, and hash browns.

While in Mt Pleasant I was told that Stan’s Restaurant was “The Place!” So I had to check it out. Underwhelmed is the adjective which comes to mind. Biscuits and gravy were luke warm at best and the prices were exorbitant to say the least. Service was good. Note: The bill even includes a “Senior Citizen’s Discount!” SMH

I was just denied the request for a to-go box, would not recommend this place to anyone, terrible service, the wait staff belong on an episode of Seinfeld Because of how clueless and uppity they are, the water tastes like it was tapped directly from the sewer line, and the hours of operation are embarrassingly bad. Save yourself a headache and just drive the extra couple miles across town to Bob Evans or IHOP, trust me it’s worth it
