Visiting Michigan and I have to say I really enjoy the Nonla cheeseburger.
The flavor is spot on:
• Perfect sauce in flavor and amount.
• Delicious brioche style bun.
• Large thin slices of ripe tomato fill in the bun really well.
• Large crisp leaves of iceberg lettuce.
• High quality American cheese.
• Perfectly cooked large beef patty. I believe 1/4 lb.
• Thin slice of a whole white onion.
Add extra veggies at no charge! For those who are thirsty there’s beer and ciders, fountain soda and various bottled drinks. Water is also available at no charge.
The environment is very clean. Music is of an upbeat energetic vibe, medium volume I would say, not too loud to take through but louder than the larger burger chains.
I was happy to see service in under 5 minutes from ordering, and the pictures attached are what I received. I may later add more pictures from later visits as well.
I enjoyed paying with coins, including the dollar coin, as not all businesses accept them anymore. I would prefer to pay with new privately issued physical gold notes called Goldbacks, or with US Mint silver coins at their free market silver value. Both of those US made physical money products are of a higher quality, maintain their value (at the time of writing an old silver dollar is worth 60 copper/digital/paper dollars now, and a Goldback is worth about $10) and are harder to cheat and create more unjustly. The only digital payment unit that is unable to be cheated on, making it more secure from cheaters like gold and silver, is Bitcoin which I would enjoy paying as well.

Genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. I snapped this photo of my burger before I ate. Wow. Tasted as good as it looked too. The fries are crispy and seasoned perfectly.
Food was out in under 10 minutes and good music playing while you’re eating too. I honestly don’t know what more you could ask for in a burger place. I’m not from Kalamazoo, but I know where I’ll be coming for lunch next time I’m here!

My husband and I drove from Battle Creek to go to Trader Joe’s and we decided to explore places around there and we came across Nonla Burger. I got the BBQ Chicken Club Sandwich Meal that came with fries and a drink. I also tried their Nonla secret sauce to dip my fries in and it was soooo good!!!!! Highly recommend. It was $20 for the meal since I tipped them like 3 dollars so its around $17 for the meal. It was really filling and delicious. The staff was really nice and fast.

Very tummy, not ideal as take-out for a larger order imo
I went through the drive-through and ordered a few sandwiches and burgers with fries as my family and I were driving back to Battle Creek. The layout for the drive through is strange and has a very tight turn, I had to backup and readjust to get to the window (maybe skill issue, but I have a tiny car as is), just something to be aware of.
Half of the order (1 chicken sandwich, 1 double burger, 2 fries) was packed into a box while the 2 specialty sandwiches were in a paper bag. The fries were very difficult to pass out as a to-go item, and passing the sandwiches seemed a bit haphazard, even for a car meal.

Nonla Burger is by far one of the best restaurants in west Michigan.
It’s a very simple menu, but there’s plenty of ways to elevate your order. We’ve tried everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed us. We eat there all the time because we see their specials for the day on Facebook or Instagram and can’t resist going to try it. And there’s not a single special that hasn’t been out of this world.
The food is amazing and it’s consistent. Consistent portion, consistent flavors, consistently outstanding specials and consistent quality.
The service is always wonderful too. They’re friendly, they’re timely, they’re knowledgeable, and when you want to make your order your own creation — they’re happy to oblige and don’t make it feel like you’re inconveniencing them by doing so. For example, sometimes my husband wants just a good, simple chicken sandwich. Chicken, mayo, and lettuce. While that’s not on the menu, and they have to modify the order on their system quite a bit, they’re always happy to do so and check with you to make sure you’re getting exactly what you want.
I will add that if you don’t like a lot of onion – order light onion on your burger. You get an entire horizontal chunk of an onion, not just a couple rings. I personally LOVE onion, so give me all the onion, but if you don’t like onion that much just order a little less 🙂 or get it on the side so you can add your own!
Put simply:
Specials – amazing. Every single one of them
Milkshake of the day – always amazing
Burgers – delicious. Perfectly cook, excellent portion, and keeps you coming back for more
Chicken Sando – unique, delicious, perfectly cooked every single time
Hot chicken Sando – INCREDIBLE, and usually my go-to order. The house made pickles that come on it are outstanding. If you’re on the fence about spice, be cautious. It’s so delicious, but it’s chili based so it’s definitely got a kick.
BBQ Chicken Club – get it with grilled chicken, get it with friend chicken, either way it’s delicious.
Wings – SO GOOD
Brussel sprouts – addictive
I have the biggest folder of Nonla Burger food pics on my phone, and post about them constantly because it’s that good. Don’t walk, RUN to give Nonla Burger a try if you haven’t already!!! 🙂

We have eaten here multiple times. Ordered online and through the drive through. We always order and pay for extra pickles and two sides of spicy ranch. Every single time we open the box and these items are missing. The food is sometimes delicious, so we keep giving them another shot. The service is terrible. We are pushed to tip 20-25% for drive through and our orders are always missing things. Our orders are practically thrown at us through the pickup window. So much so, that we don’t feel comfortable asking and checking if the add-ons are included. I did ask once, and I got a clipped “yep”, an eye roll, and a closed drive through window. Even after I tipped 20% for drive through food! $8 on a $38 bill. You’ve gotta be kidding me. Well, tonight, I ordered online and my wife picked it up on her way home. Again- the sauces and pickles were not included. I called. The phone was answered with a “Hello!?” I let them know what had happened. Response, “sorry.” I asked for a refund. The person on the phone said to someone “they want a refund”. The manager got on the phone and offered to add my phone number and she would credit my account so we’d get the stuff free next time. I said that I didn’t think there would be a next time. She acted like it was an act of congress to issue a refund. She finally refunded me $4. Amazing. :/

This would be my 3rd time having their spicy crispy sandwich in one week. Goodness that was good everytime, which makes go back to the store again and again. It is not expensive at all. Only $6-7. Their service is good as well. But in busy time, their behaviour can get little off, which is totally understandable. But still a little smile while talking would not take too much time. Well again, I am not complaining. I wouldn’t have given five star if I would complain. They are nice.

These burgers are really good. Great sauce there is on the burgers. The Nonla burger has Jalepenos on them, fresh ones they are so good. The meals come with a boatload of French fries. They are my favorite kind of fries too, where they don’t peal the skin off the potatoes & cooked perfectly crisp on the outside & fluffy on the inside.
Customer service is on point. Very welcoming people taking orders & bringing food to us as well.
Very clean establishment too.
Condiments are stocked for us all to grab for our lunch/dinner.
