Tried fish cakes for starters, dipping sauce was tasty. Green shrimp curry was good, however could have been more seasoned. Service (food came out quick) and atmosphere was great, we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Thirty years in Atlanta, and somehow I had never stepped foot into this restaurant. That alone tells you something. In a city where places open, close, and reinvent themselves at warp speed, longevity is a signal. Walking distance from Ansley Mall and just a quick hop from Piedmont Park, this isn’t just another spot to grab a bite. It’s a true Atlanta landmark—and now I finally understand why.

From the moment I sat down, everything clicked. The food came out quickly without feeling rushed, and the service was exceptional and attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to guide a first timer through the menu. I’ll own this upfront: not coming here sooner was a mistake on my part.

The dishes are unapologetically authentic Thai, prepared with care and pride. I started with the Tom Yum soup —bright, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Then came the Jeep (dumplings filled with pork and shrimp ), which were comforting, savory, and dangerously easy to devour.

But the standout of my first visit was a recommendation from my waiter, and it was a home run: Pla-Khew-Whan. A crispy white fish filet bathed in green curry sauce, layered with coconut milk, red bell pepper, green beans, diced eggplant, bamboo, and fresh basil. Every bite hit that sweet spot between richness, heat, and freshness.

This place doesn’t need hype. It has history, consistency, and food that speaks for itself. Don’t take my word for it, go see why it’s been around for decades. The food really is that good.

We visited Thailand recently and have been missing Thai food. Super delicious. This location popped up and we wanted to give it a try. We also had drinks (the dragonfruit drink was delicious) and appetizers.
The food tasted very delicious and we will return.

The food overall wasn’t too salty except for wings (which is really important to me), and the staff were very friendly. However the pineapple rice had a surprisingly strong curry flavor and the curry was a bit on the watery side. The best menu for me was definitely the papaya salad.

Hubby and I came out for a Friday dinner. This is our 3rd visit. This time the ambiance was great and so was our server. Palm. He was super friendly and welcoming. I had the coconut chicken soup for appetizer. The soup was quite tasty but, I could’ve done without the coconut shavings which, while flavorful, were chewy and inedible.

For my entree, I had the Butter garlic ginger fried rice with crispy fried chicken thigh and chili sauce on the side. This dish was on the street food menu. The rice was great but beware, the chicken thighs are not cooked to order. They are fried in advance, stored in the fridge, and heated when you order. I DO NOT recommend this dish. The rice was great but the chicken was very tough and quite dry. Had I known the chicken was not cooked to order, I definitely would have passed on this one. I only tried to eat it because I hadn’t eaten all day and I was hungry. We drove a long way to have an authtentic Thai meal and this dish was disappointing. I think this dish does a disservice to the overall menu. Nothing special about it at all and the chicken is terrible.

Hubby enjoyed his coconut shrimp and curry chicken.

I ended up ordering something that is freshly prepared to order. I took it to go.

I remember eating at Bangkok Thai for the first time over 30 years ago and it’s still consistent and delicious today. I got an order of fresh basil rolls that were fresh and delicious served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. I also got a diced chicken with Thai basil stir fry. It was flavorful and just the right amount of heat. The service was excellent. I highly recommend it at lunch time because it wasn’t super busy and there was plenty of parking.

The food was excellent and our server CJ was very kind and helpful with menu questions. A lot of gluten free and dairy free options available to choose from.

Always in the mood for good Thai food, and had wanted to try this place when I used to live in Atlanta. A good selection of Thai staples, and I always like a place that has Thai cooks in the kitchen, and offers the option of “Thai hot.” Got the Black Pepper Beef, which had lots of fresh vegetables, and reasonably good quality beef. Was served fresh and hot, and it was appropriately spicy as I requested. Got it with a side of potstickers, which were very tasty. The accompanying sauce was on the sweet side for my taste, as opposed to more of a vinegar base, but still pretty good. Service was a little slow. Definitely better than the Thai food I get back home, and good enough for me to try it again. Recommend.

To be honest, Spicy Crispy Pork Belly was the bestttttt!!!!!!! I like the way they serve them with crispy basil too, very unique. Also, you all should try Taro Pearl with Coconut Cream for dessert, it was warm and amazing textures. The waiter was so nice and kind, he is Thai. All the Thai food were amazing though by the way, just want to highlight the crispy pork belly. We went there for dinner, pretty crowded and busy.

The food was great. The pad Thai was nice and tangy and tasty. The drunken noodles were spicy and delicious. On the appetizers, the chicken wings were delicious with the zesty lemon paprika powder and with the crunchiness. The service was great as we came from a trip to the restaurant 30mins before closing time. They let us in and let us order(quickly). We are a little quickly but it was very nice of them
