It’s a buffet style restaurant where you can opt to buy a steak and they will cook it to bring out with your buffet food. The service was very friendly and the place was clean. The food was mediocre. During the visit it was not very busy so that might be the reason the food did not taste very fresh. A lot of the options looked dried out. I would give it another chance if I was back in town.

Very crazy finding one one these after 30 years. We used to have these up in Canada in the 1970’s and was surprised to stumble upon this one today.
It was a blast from the past and glad I was able to stop here for lunch as it was right next to a truckstop .

Stopped for lunch here today. Very clean and polite and pleasant staff. Waitress stayed on top of our table always removing dirty plates and keeping our glasses filled. Also the interior temperature was perfect! Sometimes restaurants are too cold, but here it was very pleasant. Food was fantastic also. Would definitely visit again.

The Steaks were made to order. However no Chicken wings and not enough Shrimp. The Rolls were not hot. Our Server did a excellent job! She kept our drinks filled. She kept a eye in our table. The Store Manager came around and checked on everything. The sweet potatoe fries were crunchy on the outside but mushy on the inside. The waffle fries were great! We visit this place at least 6 to 8 times a year as couples.

I gave it five stars most of the time it’s good! But you’ve got to work on that waitress and the refills..other than that atmosphere is good and food is OK except you need better fresher and good tasting desserts….your dessert bar is disgusting..not in appearance just on taste….throw those cookies in the garbage along with the cobblers! 😉

We went to Ponderosa last night the cashier was very friendly but it stopped there. Our waitress was rude and did not refill our drinks nor did she take dirty dishes off our table. Our steaks were delicious so my complements to the cook. The food on the hot bar and salad bar was good. I will not sit in Lisa section again because we should have been treated better.

We come up here every other month or so, and normally the food is good. But today it was bad, and the waitress bringing the drinks around was slow. She asked if I needed another Dr Pepper, I said yes. So, 10 minutes passed, and she came back and asked if I needed another drink. I tried a little of every thing and some hot items were warm or cold. I was not pleased today !!

I stopped in and ordered steak. I the saw the buffet and salad bar but had already paid. Server was very nice. Steak was ok, had some gristle throughout. At end of meal I asked about the buffet for next time and was told the buffet was included in the price of my steak dinner. Wish I’d known. The salad looked good. And the buffet was fresh and stocked. Would recommend.

This place impressed me so much, I’d go back tomorrow if I lived closer. I’ve never been a big fan of ponderosa, but this one….. It was clean, well stocked, our waitress went above and beyond to make sure all 40 of the people on our group had drink refills. It was my grandfather in laws birthday, and I think he thoroughly enjoyed it, I know I did.
