Kajiken Ramen offers Abura Soba, a unique Nagoya-style noodles. These chewy, soup-less noodles boast a complex umami derived from a secret blend of imported soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil. Surprisingly light on calories compared to traditional ramen, Abura Soba is a flavorful and satisfying alternative for adventurous palates.

First time customer. Very pleased! I ordered the Teriyaki chicken Soba.and it was very delicious! Loves the brothless soup dish! Hints of ginger, very flavorful! Also, the peach black tea was yummy! My waiter, I don’t know his name but he was attentive and kind! I love the seating in the back, lots of privacy. I like dining alone and so it was quiet and perfect for me. I will be coming back!
Edit: Went back and enjoyed the teriyaki chicken Soba! Very yummy! The waiter was great!!

I came here without high expectations, as Japanese restaurants in the U.S. can sometimes be hit or miss, but this place truly impressed me. They provide everything needed to properly enjoy abura soba, including all the essential seasonings that let you customize each bite. The rich, nutty flavors balanced with a subtle tang create a satisfying taste, and the experience of mixing the noodles and adjusting the flavors yourself makes the meal even more enjoyable. I’m glad to have discovered a spot where you can truly appreciate both the flavor of each ingredient and the fun of eating. Highly recommended.

sukiyaki with added corn B the meat again a little tough but flavors were good. noodles were tender. nice balance of flavors but the meat to tough
I like this place overall. if I lived near one of their locations would definitely go and try more of the dishes. plus u can add other ingredients to ur bowl or create ur own.

My family and I just dropped in and had a great dinner.
We tried the seaweed salad, age tofu, sunomono, tonkotsu shoyu, chashu don, and old bay ebi. Everything was fresh and delicious.
Great atmosphere, very clean, and really enjoyed the decor. Highly recommend to others.

This was pretty disappointing considering the other great reviews. I came here to get ramen, but I think that’s where I went wrong because it seems like they’re more popular for their soba. The broth, egg and pork all lacked flavor. The pork was almost entirely fat, with very little meat. The best thing was the side of kimchi.
I’ll absolutely try this place again, because the soba looks very good here, but if you’re looking for great ramen this isn’t the place, as it was mediocre at best.
HOWEVER, the atmosphere, and service was all amazing. Again, I will be trying this place again in the future and I’ll update my review then.

Had a really pleasant time here, atmosphere was great, plenty of seating. I had the tonkotsu shoyu and it was super good! Also tried age tofu for the first time and it was super interesting and tasty, definitely getting that again lol. Our waiter was Edward and he was really attentive and friendly, made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Next time I would love to try their abura soba as it seems like that’s one of their specialties. 1000% recommend my compliments to the chefs and the staff!!! Thank you

Small eatery style Japanese restaurant. Very comfortable and a delicious menu of Ramen and Soba.
Fresh green tea, delicious seaweed salad and dumplings.
We definitely would recommend it.

I do not hand out five stars lightly, or often, but this place absolutely deserves it. It is the most similar to Japanese food that I have found since I have been back to America, and I have tried many places in many states. We had tonkotsu shoyu ramen, karaage curry don, and teriyaki tori along with appetizers (and of course ramune). The only improvement we agreed upon was that we wanted more. Sadly no food pictures, but I included a menu picture for the review.

The soup ramen didn’t have enough broth. It did have a very strong pork bone flavor, but not in a tasty way. I had to ask for some chili pepper on the side. But was told they only have chili paste and it’s $0.75 more. Unfortunately, this location is very different from the Rockville location. The service was okay, they didn’t refill water. Maybe try the Rockville location?
